Event Details Wanna go watch a meteor shower with me at the Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary??? I live right off the Forest Hills T-stop (orange line) so we can meet there at 5 PM to get the event at Stoney Brook by 6 PM (I can fit 5 people in my car - hence the member limit). YOU MUST REGISTER WITH STONY BROOK TO ATTEND. See contact info at the bottom. This December, debris from an ancient asteroid will collide with our atmosphere creating the annual spectacle called the Geminids meteor shower. Astronomers anticipate that meteorites may rain down in the night sky at a rate of up to 60 per hour during the evening of December 13th.
