About Me
Been in Vancouver two and a half - years. Love it!!!!! I spend way too much time on the computer, which could work well for you. If you have any questions or comments feel free to message me. |
Why I joined
I was adopted into the group and have met more people and done more things this past year than I did the whole first year I was in BC. MiV is great. Come on out and meet us. |
My Best MEETin event story ( please only fill in after you have been to an event )
So many to choose from!!!
I've been incredibly fortunate to both meet, get to know and hang out with people here in Vancouver, and also meet folks from other cities and know them well enough to call friend.
In Novemeber 2004 I flew to Las Vegas for the 1st ever MEETin Convention. It was an incredible experience to meet people in person who I'm been corresponding with over the months in both leadership capacity and general conversation.
In May 2005, Washington DC hosted the 2nd Annual Conference to coorespond with MEETin's 2nd birthday. For me it was like old home week.
Seeing familiar faces and walking up to complete strangers and giving them huge hugs because through the global chat threads on MEETin I already knew them well. Never having met them in person was just a technicality.
So far for MEETinVancouver local events - I think it was the camping trip. It was a rainy weekend, tents leaked, sleeping bags got wet causing an emergency trip to the laundromat dryers, but the sun peeked in occasionally, we swam despite the chilly water and had a blast.
Every event is great because I meet new people and get to hang with my friends. What more could a girl want.

What can I say? Sue's my walking Meetin.org manual! Just imagine how much I have bugged her on using this site. She has been very patient, so far.
No, Sue's much more than that. She's one of the hardest working individual in the meetin community of Vancouver, no, Western Canada. MiV ain't MiV without her. I may not see her in every single event, but when she shows up, it is always a pleasure talking to her. My hat's off to you, Sue.

Sue is amazing. She is hard-working, friendly, organized, smart, focused, relaxed and . . . she cuts her own hair! Go Sue!

Sue is a mover and shaker. She is making sure Meetin has a permanent place in Canada. It was great meeting her.

Sue is Sue-per! She was the first to put the MEETin logo on a t-shirt and wear it with pride. I've talked with her online, but when I met her in person, at the MEETin Convention in DC, I realized just how friendly and genuine she really is! She's holdin' it down in Canada, and I hope I can make it up there sometime and see for myself what a great job she's done! I also dig her accent ;-)

It was fun getting to know Sue at the 2005 MEETin Convention, as we walked to H20 on Friday night. She's wise, easy to talk to, and her red hair makes it a breeze to locate her even in the thickest of crowds. I can't wait to finally get to Vancouver to visit Sue and to meet the rest of the Sue Crew!

It was soooo great to finally meet Sue in DC! It was great to talk with her, she's a nice, down to earth woman that always has a kind word and smile to those she meets. Hope to see her in the future!

Sue is one awesome lady. I had the pleasure of meeting her on a hike at the first convention in Las Vegas. Seeing her again at the DC convention was like seeing a sister I haven't seen in a while. Nice and sweet, but watch out for her wild streak!
:-) Sue is definately one person you need to meet!

Sue is a very nice and kind person. It was so nice to meet you at the MEETin Vegas trip. Even more glad you could come from so fare away and even more so because the taxes on your place trips are so high :-) Thanks for coming and hangin with us and thnaks for leading your city and helping people make friends.

SUE - Super Unification Engine. What would MiV be without Sue? A bunch of people randomly wondering around. She possesses orgainizing skills I can only dream of, making any MiV gatherings go smoothly. I think this same engine powers the roller blading and hiking machine that she is - these two activities simply don't happen without Sue!
<-( Linda says ;-)
One of the sweetest people I know! Sue is always interested in anything and everything, which makes her a whole lot of fun anytime and everytime!
<-( Maddy says ;-)
Sue is the mother of most events and rocks, somewhere on her I swear she always has a tiny computer hidden somewhere as she is so well organized and she is a whizz on blades.
She is alway cheerful and nothing throws her, except Robert and she can always throw him back:)
Sue hon what would we do without you??? :)

Sue is a lady you will come to admire,
She has hair of red and full of fire.
She keeps us on our toes with her organization,
Someone you can count on with her level of dedication.
She is happily ready to help guide the way,
Filling us with smiles throughout the day.
She makes you feel welcome.. she is the first to greet,
This is a lady you will be thrilled to meet!

Sue Buckley is the flaming red-head Event Planner Plus with boundless energy. No doubt it comes from the dark side because we refer to her as "Evil Sue". Either way, she's been Super Evilly helpful with greeting members, being Pep Mistress, and bringing her computer/photo resources to the site. If Green Lantern is too green for you, go to Evil Red (Sue)!
