Hello from DC
Greetings,
I'm coming to visit Vancouver in late Oct or early Nov, and i was looking for some ideas on places to see, things to do and of course meet up for the drink.
And suggestions, greatly appreciated

If you're into outdoor activities, Oct/Nov are still ok for hiking some local mountains on the lower trails, but it depends on your tolerance for wet weather.
The festivals at that time of year tend to be indoor events, with the main one being the Vancouver International Film Festival in early Oct. But there are several smaller film festivals later in Oct and Nov (Jewish Film Festival, Asian Film Festival, European Film Festival).

Hey there
Vancouver has lots to offer. There is a tourist book that can be obtained at hotels with information about the good spots.
October is Halloween time! that be fun to celebrate...
let us know when you in town and I am sure the meetin group will have a drink or two with you ....
