Dim Sum Chinese Festival Written By Whitney 07/22/2007 click for full size We did manage to have chicken feet. Very yummy and a few of us who are authentic Chinese demonstrated how to enjoy them. Afterwards, the "starving group" suggested to get Ice cream as dessert. Good call! After ice cream, we walked back to Harbourfront centre for some Tai Chi and Hip Hop. All the people who performed Tai Chi on stage were all white. We are so proud at Chinese culture's far reaching influence. In case you don't know, Tai Chi is one branch of chinese martial arts, or so called Kong Fu in a slow motion. Just imagine Chinese Yoga. For Hip Hop, we tried to figure out how it is related to Chinese culture. Someone suggested it is deeply influnced by Kong Fu. It makes tons of sense. Gorgia, Vincent and a few of us follow the instruction and picked up some hot moves and will show you next time. Then we walked along side the lake just to enjoy a lazy weekend afternoon with sun shine and happy people. We walked by an Indian wedding, but only saw parents in law in the Limo. Bride is missing. We were hoping to see her dress, hair-do and make up stuff. A lot and a lot happened. Everyone got a bit of something out of this event. My mission was accomplished. If you want a piece too, join us next time please. Thanks Mark and Darek for taking great photos. Don't dread about the week ahead. Just think that you have the chance to see us during the weekend. Then you got the motivation to go through it. Alright, this longest Meetin news ends here. More Photos |
