New to Tampa
Hello, I just moved here about a month ago and finding it really hard to meet new people, but a friend told me about this site so I thought I'd give it a go. :D

You got it Jackie! Basically anything that anyone is going to go to anyway...put it up as an event.
Does NOT have to be a big elaborate get together!

Okay let's meet up. There seems to be a few of us who want to do something, so let's plan something. If your interested, I'll try to plan it. I have never planned anything before, but will give it a shot it I know people want to meet.

Where is everyone?
I know how you guys feel. I moved here just about 4 yrs ago and found it hard to meet people as well. Back then they were using the meetup site. There were actually 2 groups, one using this site and one using meetup. They moved to meetin but then people either got busy, married or moved.
It seems that there is more activity (not sure - have not verified this myself) on the meetup site. There are a few different groups out there on that site. BUT...if you are interested in doing anything - all you have to do is POST it...
Post it and they will come...!!!

Looking for a new social circle?!
I have been in the Tampa Bay area for a while but am finding it really difficult to meet people, especially those who are not married with children!

Hi there, new here too
Hi! I've joined joined this group. I'm also new to Tampa! I just moved here a few weeks ago from Harrisburg, PA. I am a grad student at USF studying Cell & Molecular Bio. I do not know anyone in the Tampa area and I am looking to meet new people and make some good friends! I looking forward to some events.

Its good to see there are still new membors trickling in despite the lack of events. I've been gone a while, but from reading some of the posts, there are some people peppered about that are still interested in keeping the group alive.
