Your Interests
Hiking, biking, climbing, downhill skiing (FANATICAL skier), music, reading, travel, hockey, keeping up with the Bills, Sabres and Red Sox (all my hard luck sports teams!). Well, I guess the Red Sox can be taken off the "hard luck" list...
Want to learn how to kayak and surf too! |
Favorite Music
Too much stuff to list here-Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Shonen Knife, Pixies, Ultravox, Cake, Patti Smith, System of a Down, Fad Gadget, Franz Ferdinand, Joy Division, Velvet Underground, Felt, My Bloody Valentine, Blur, the Buzzcocks, the Replacements,Lords of Acid,Clan of Xymox, Dead Kennedys,Throbbing Gristle,Swans, Royal Trux, etc., etc. I'm sure there's a pattern here... |
Favorite Books
I mostly read non-fiction-adventure, travel and science. My favorite authors include Jon Krakauer, Bill Bryson and Laurie Garrett. Right now I'm re-reading Lord of the Rings and also in the middle of the Golden Compass trilogy and, OK, this is weird, "Hitler, A Study in Tyranny." |
Favorite TV Shows
Don't actually own a TV, but when I do watch it's either NHL games or Adult Swim. |
Favorite Movies
Pi, Wings of Desire, Harold and Maude, Bubba-Ho-Tep, Office Space, High Fidelity, The Hanging Garden, While the Cat's Away, Evil Dead II, Igby Goes Down, Ma Vie En Rose, The Godfather, Monty Python's Life of Brian and The Holy Grail, Apocalypse Now...really anything that's a little bit "different". Oh, and of course we can't forget "Slapshot!" |

About Me
I grew up in Buffalo, lived in Boston for fifteen years, then moved to Portland, Oregon and various places in California. I'm currently in San Diego, but moving back to Seattle (lived there for four months about a year ago) in spring of 2009, to be with my great boyfriend. Can't wait! |
Why I joined
Since I am new (again) in town and spend so much time with work and school, I haven't really been doing a lot of socializing. I'd love to meet some outdoorsy people to do things with...movie and bookstore buddies would be great too! |
My Best MEETin event story ( please only fill in after you have been to an event )
(MiPL)Cassy's cocktail party, going skiing with Dan, Will, Michelle and Seattle Paul, the Warren Miller movie and Mexican food beforehand!
(MiLA) Hiking Mt. Baldy with Tony and Ray-my car almost broke down, but it was well worth it! Thanks guys!
Kings game with Tom and the rest of the gang-it was great to see some hockey again after a year!

<-( Tom says ;-)
Even though this gal is a big Sabres fan, there is room for her in LA. She is extremely friendly, and it was great to meet her. I recommend getting to know Jennifer and Vlad to any one! She is Greeeaaat! I know we will bring her around to loving the Kings!
<-( Ray says ;-)
Jennifer is one of the coolest people I've ever hiked with. It was great hiking Mt. Baldy with her. But what I really love about her is that she always brings food to the hikes. It's great to have her out here in LA!
<-( Dan Kalowsky says ;-)
She skis, hikes, can pack away a hefty burger, and makes a good travel companion. What more can one ask for? Just don't tell her she's got that Boston accent.
<-( Jillian says ;-)
Who cares where Jen "pahks her cah", this ex-Boston babe is a true new jewel in Portland and recently, despite her hefty work and school load, saved my a** in a nasty Economics class I had to take. Love ya Jen! Thanks!
