I think our consensus on "Smilla's Sense of Snow" was book is better than the movie; and the section on the boat was way too long (and implausible). We also had interesting conversations about whether its better or worse to select titles that have been made into movies. And if you do - should you read the book first or see the movie? And are graphic novels real books? See the deep philosophical debates the rest of you missed!
