Inglourious Basterds - Viewed 1517 Times
I loved this movie!!!!!!! I was worried about too much blood, but that wasn't even an issue. The scalping was the only uncomfortable thing....but it's easy to turn your head for 30 seconds.
Great plot...and I wish that it happened in real life! Best touch was the "spagetti western" soundtrack at times. Totally cool!

Just what I expected from QT! :-)
For anyone that's seen any of QT's movies, they should know what to expect. It's going to be a tad "gorry" I didn't think it was that bad, but that's just me. I enjoyed the movie over-all. I love the cinematography and just how QT frames his shots, it's great! It won't be my favorite QT film, but I did enjoy it! Doesn't beat Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs though. All in all, 2 thumbs and 1 scalp up!

Terrific alternate history flick
Brad Pitt was better in "Snatch," and this was not as good as "Pulp Fiction" in my opinion, but it was still a terrific movie. I recommend it. Mélanie Laurent as the vengeful Jewish massacre survivor stole the show, as did "Jew Hunter" Christoph Walz. We'll see more from these two unknowns, I'm sure. Brad Pitt's Italian with the thick Tennessee accent is hilarious.

Possible Classic
I need to watch this one a few more times to figure out if I like this better than Kill Bill. I thought the whole comcept of scalping nazis was really funny. The cinematograpgy, plot, music and acting were all terrific. Pulp Fiction made me a bit uncomfortable but this one was one of those "feel good" films..

Best Tarantino EVER.
I thought people automatically assumed that Quentin Tarantino's movies were bloody and gross... I do, but I love them anyway. Every single one of them. My favorite thing about QT has always been the Girl Power theme - do not f*** with one of his heroines! And this movie has that facet for sure, but it has more.
Every book you have read and movie you have seen about the atrocities of WWII, every bulldozed-bodies film and shoe and teddy bear you have wept over in the Holocaust Museum --- AVENGED. I mean, for a moment, in the fictional haze good movies put us in, right? Because there will never, ever be any justice for what was done. But in the moment you really feel it. You feel triumph and righteousness in the unwavering mission of the Basterds, in the searing rage and bloodthirst of the Bear Jew, in the utter disgust and sadism of Stiglitz, in the folksy-yet-deadly certainty of Aldo the Apache. It's bloody, it's gritty, it's violent - and it is delicious.

Different strokes I guess
I had a very different experience with this movie. True the scalping was not that bad over all. But the gunshots to the face and the baseball bat beating were both a bit severe. On a different note, I didn't think this movie was even really about the guys with Brad Pitt, it seemed like it was more about a German Officer. The officer was in almost every aspect of the movie, he had a lot more screen time and far more dialog.
