Event Hosted By Darcy Baker Dilip Link To Event Start slideshow Camping and Wine Tasting Napa Valley Written By Darcy Baker 08/30/2007 click for full size The second annual Napa Camping and wine tasting trip was a blast. 14 peeps met at the Bothe-Napa camp ground on Friday night. We set-up camp, enjoyed a wonderful dinner, and sat around a very nice fire. Saturday morning we woke up bright and early, after breakfast we headed out to enjoy some wine. We started off at Sequoia Grove winery. The winery staff, was nice enough to show us the wine making process. A few of the workers were just cleaning up after a crush. Then we decided to head over to last years favorite, Conn Creek Winery on the Silverado Trail. This tasting was great, but I think they poured a lot more wines last year. After we left Conn Creek some of us had to rush over to the Castello Di Amoroso for a 2 PM tour of the castle. We were there during a very chaotic time, as a country singer was setting up for a benefit concert. Despite loosing several members of the group in the dungeon for a short time, we all made it out safely. After the tour we went to August Briggs winery for our last taste of *free* wine for the day. Back at the campgrounds Rob and his Sous Chef's (you know who you are) prepared a wonderful feast. We then set back and enjoyed a very drama free evening roasting marshmallow's and eating smores. The star's were all out and the only sound that could be heard was DLIP....DLIP....DLIP. What a great time we homosapians had. More Photos
