MERGING THE SJ and SF CHAPTERS
Just to give MiSJ a head's up. There is a very real possibility that we will be merging the San Francisco and San Jose chapters into one central chapter. We will continue to post city names in the event titles to make it more user friendly and easier to spot events in the south bay. I wanted to warn you guys in case you sign on one day and are automatically redirected to the SF chapter. Welcome in advance.

they'll merge MiLA with MiSF now...oh wait, I better keep my mouth shut or they might get ideas : P

Unfortunately those "geeks" say that it takes way too much coding to move people over to another chapter. Plus we are trying to purge all inactive members in the process. We will have less than 1000 members total left when I am done purging all the inactive members from both chapters. It takes forever though and I wish i had some help. I just purged 100 people today. Now only 2,000 more to go LOL.

Whatever happened to the wonderful software world of migrating users...and just automatically changing all MiSJ members city to MiSF???
I thought meetin was created by geeks...but now I feel, I may be wrong :)

Actually we have decided to completely shut down the MiSJ chapter. Everyone who wants to remain a MEETin member needs to go into the menu in the blue column on the left and click on "Privacy+Security." Then you need to change your MEETin chapter to "San Francisco." If you do not do this within the next week, then your MEETin profile will be completely deleted and you will need to sign back up again. I am going to send out a newsletter later explaining this to all members so they will not be surprised in a weekn when this chapter is totally dissolved.

Tho unfortunate, I believe this is good in the long run. This might see more people posting events across cities, and also participating....
