West Valley City, Utah – While the Utah Grizzlies rallied from a 4-2 third period deficit to defeat the Idaho Steelheads 5-4 in overtime Friday night at the E-Center, we hung out in the pub overlooking the Southside net. It was like sitting in our own luxury box.
Utah jumped up 1-0 in the first period with Justin Bourne scoring his second goal of the year. The Grizzlies took a 2-1 lead in the second with Scott Burt scoring against his former team before Idaho scored three-straight goals to take a 4-2 third period lead. In the third, Utah rallied with goals from Burt to make it 4-3 and then Michael Haley scored with 14 seconds left to go in regulation to tie the game at four. In overtime, Utah got a breakaway goal from Ryan Kinasewich 2:40 into the period to seal the 5-4 win. In his Utah debut, Michael Mole picked up the win stopping 27 of 31 shots. If the team keeps up this type of physical play, we will have to return. More Photos
