It is kinda .... arachic, but I finally backtracked it.
You need to "edit" the offending news item first, which will bring you to a new screen. Then you can press the "delete record" button ... and hopefully it's gone.

I tried that, but there was no delete option! Anyway thanks for tidying it up for me!

Elle: I have removed the extra messages for ya. Methinks, you can delete yer own messages from that "My News" button on the left hand side. It's been a while since I last did it, though. BW.
