Art and Music Sunday Written By Sonia 06/07/2008 click for full size
A rainy day didn't keep us from enjoying a day at Jack's Art and Music Sunday event at Artisan Works. Getting to spend the day with Meetin Friends, Wine, cheese, art, and music was very relaxing and enjoyable. After chatting in the entrance area for awhile we walked all around the gallery. Getting the chance to meet an artist and seeing his workshop was such a surprising treat. The artist's name is Ross Rider. He makes all his art out of wood. Different colors and ever so cool!! After strolling around we decided to head over to Vertigo Heights to have wine and cheese that Jack and Lorraine treated us to. The blueberry wine was great! Jack and Lorraine shared with us their extensive knowledge of wine and cheese. Three musicians from Rochester's Philharmonic Orchestra played piano, chello, and violin for everyone. After the musicians were finished we decided to make our way up to the rooftop which was loaded with more art! This was undoubtedly a great day.

A great afternoon.... Thank you Jack and Lorraine for posting this event! I had such a great time learning about wine and cheese-thanx for sharing your knowledge. Hope I didn't ask too many questions:\ It was especially cool to meet the artists in the gallery and being able to watch them go about their art in their workshops. I look forward to another event here. I'd love to see if Ross Rider has finished the Ford he's been working on. Thank you for treating us to all that wine and cheese. |
