Spotsylvania Medieval Battle Sunday
Richmonders ... read the second part about the battle in Spotsylvania. IT's the closest battle to Richmond there will be. Estimated 60-90 fighters.

Check-in runs from 10-11:30
Cost $5 to battle. FREE TO WATCH ! Bring a camera!
Dulles Toll Road. North onHunter Mill. Left on Baron Cameron. 1 block - Left on Lake Fairfax drive. Look for funny dressed people. Dinner and water park after battle. (Water park is extra)

Something for everyone!
Unit Battles (3x)
Late Check-in
Divide into 2 Teams
2-Team No Shields, No Missiles (3x)
2-Team to the Last Fighter (3x)
2-Team Two Bridge Rez Battle
(objective is to maintain a foothold on the enemy’s side of one or both bridges)
2-Team Battles where both teams are split in half and start in opposite corners of the field
2-Team Bridge/Ford Capture-the-Flag Battles
(You may use bridges, or “wade” the river on your knees, even in armor; objective is to grab enemy’s flag and plant it to next to your flag)
…and we’ll finish the fighting with a scenario that I’ve never seen done before:
Weapons Class Resurrection Holy Point Battle!
- 4 teams (reds, blues, greens, missile weapons)
- Each team has a rez point
- One holy point in the middle
- Winner is the weapons class which holds the Holy Point the longest
- If you ally with another weapon class, neither gets credit for holding the Holy Point
- Blues are allowed one or two blues; no one else is allowed a backup/second weapon
- Anyone is allowed to THROW javelins and rocks back at Missile Team
After the battle, we’ll retreat to the Picnic Pavilion for a feast of hot dogs, soda, and snacks. Anyone who wants to go swimming at the Water Park (part of Lake Fairfax Park) may do so (you’ll pay a separate entry fee to the Water Park…but I want to float down the Lazy River after fighting all day!)
Weather predictions are for it to be Gurrundi and Warm! Come fight, feast, and float with the finest of the Aratari!

Quick note: Check in cost is $6 to help cover a few of our expenses (PortaCastles, equipment for some clean up)

12PM-5PMish - Pick-up battles.
6PM - GTFO, and thanks for coming!
The event: Schatt Wars
A weekend of merriment, campfires, and tales to tell around them.
Ah yes, and did we mention there would be battles held?
When: Memorial Day Weekend, May 23th-25th
The site will be open to arrivals after 3PM
FRIDAY TIL SUNDAY
Where: Private Lot
Directions:
Take i95 to Exit 118 for VA-606 towards Thornburg
If from the NORTH, TURN LEFT on Mudd Tavern Road
If from the SOUTH, TURN RIGHT on Mudd Tavern Road
Travel East on Mudd Tavern Rd for 0.9 miles (becomes Stonewall Jackson)
Continue on Stonewall Jackson Rd for 6.7 miles
Turn right at Fredericksburg Turnpike/VA-2 and follow for 1.9 miles
Slight right at Woodford Rd (at this point, some signs will be visible)
Turn right at Villeboro Rd and follow for 0.4 miles
There will be a sign directing arrivals to the entrance. There will be a check in point along the way in, so we can direct everyone to their campsites.
This event will be held on a 40 acre plot of wooded land, with plenty of fallen fire wood available. Prepare accordingly.
