Spring Roll Mania Written By Salee 02/12/2008 click for full size After a few re-rolls, the Meeps were rollin' like pros. We had spring rolls of all shapes and sizes from Lisa's tight wraps to Josh's chubby stubbies. We filled wrappers with cheese, jalapenos, bananas, cinnamon, sugar, pork, cabbage, onion, carrots, and noodles. Bet you didn't know all those things would taste so good huh? :-) (for those that weren't there, come to the next class to figure out what we are talking about!) All in all, we cooked 98 out of a possible 100 spring rolls and it was easier than anyone thought. I owe big kudos for my TV magic (Barry) who made our first cooking show possible by manning the stove and the dishwasher! So what are we going to cook next time? Who has a special dish to share? Fun... as usual! Once again Salee, you've hosted a great event! An excellent mix between a craft class, a cooking show, and a nice dinner with good peeps! P.S. please have your TV magic spread wisdom to my kitchen 'staff'. ;-) Most appreciated! |
