Memorial 5K Run/Walk
Across the street from my house is a social club - populated by mostly men in the contracting business; electricians, painters, carpenters. The very gentlemany fellow who manages the club (Brian) had a neice that died after a very long and horrid illness that left her family with immense medical bills uncovered by insurance. Brian is trying to raise the funds to help relieve his family of the catastrophic indebtedness for those bills. To that end the Bethany Rose Cyr Memorial 5K Run/Walk will take place on 5/2/2009 at 8:00 a.m. in Roger Williams Park and is sponsored by The Portuguese American Social Club of Providence, The Jarvis Green Foundation and the Roger Williams Park Carousel Village.
