Stephen King impressed me by starting this one right off! Now I have been tryig to finish reading "Dreamcatcher."  Started reading this book in Hawai'i, but lost the book, repurchased one in Texas, lost it in California. Repurchased my third book in Vegas.  Hmmm? Now let's see if I can hold onto this one.  One way or another, will finish the story. It's now 10/14/09. I am about 50 pages from finishing it. Let's see how long it takes me to get through it.

    About Me
myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics

myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphicsI left California because I needed a change. Now I'm here and WOW...what a change!

First Hawai'i...myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics

    Then Texas (Yee! Ha!)

Then to the glittering lights of ...

    Now I'm in ...

My life is unpredictable. Not even "I" know what is to come next!  But I'll have fun, while I try to figure it all out!

    Why I joined
Actually one of the members in Hawai'i told me about this group (Thanks, Alicia!).  I checked out the group and my life went from sitting home reading a book to ALWAYS having something to do.  When I moved to San Antonio, Texas, I saw that they had a group so I joined.  I did it for Texas, now I want to do it for Nevada: Keep you guys busy, and let you know you have instant friends when you join our group.  A MAJOR benefit about our group is that you can go almost anywhere and have friends.  For example, while visiting Portland, I had no shortage on new friends.  Paulie welcomed me into his home at this cookout party and EVERYBODY there just made me feel like they've known me forever.  The point, anywhere you go, instant friends!  What  more can you ask for? I love MEETIN.ORG!

My Best MEETin event story ( please only fill in after you have been to an event )
myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphicsUpdated 06/12/09: MEETinAUSTIN: I cannot believe I did not put this one up already. Party Barge (August 2007). It took me a year to remember what happened there, but now that I do remember, wow! Okay, it wasn't like that. Just a bunch of people not having to drive, and lots of jello shots! Wow *** MEETinEUGENE: Drinks at the Cooler in June 2009 was a great way to meet this group. They are fun, do not treat you like an outsider, and are just there to have fun. *** MEETinHONOLULU: Camping in November 2006 in Hawai'i! Gee, the stories we plan on telling over, and over, and over, and over...umm...pole dancing...tent...my slippers...aaah, the lantern...gee, these memories will last me quite some time. *** MEETinLASVEGAS: Who Needs Santa to Have a Party * Christmas Party @ Gracie's (December 2008). I will say that it was a great party. Not too wild, but I will admit there was a secret or two. Hey, it's Vegas, there always has to be a secret. *** MEETinLOSANGELES: I'm going to have to say Halloween at the Foxfire (October 2008)! This was a crazy, crazy night. But it was a fun, crazy night. Only one LA member went, but my 4 other gals were with me so it didn't matter. We had so much fun, met great people and just had a fun time. I won't say more because, will not incriminate myself (teasing). *** MEETinORANGECOUNY: The Creepers at the Harp Inn! (June 2007) Mac, Matt, Brian! They always make me feel like a celebrity at their gigs. And sharing the experience with my OC friends is even better (Mary Kay, I love you!). *** MEETinPORTLAND: Definitely Paulie's Relaxing Cookout event (June 2007). There were definitely many stages. First the early birds (not me), then the party crowd, but then stage 3, the wild bunch...um, Gracie left before it got TOOOO wild. Sorry! Next time, will HAVE to stay! *** MEETinSACRAMENTO: I visited the Capitol of California. I did not get a turnout at my event since it was a day event, but that's okay, because going and just visiting this historical place made it worthwhile. *** MEETinSANANTONIO: MiSA's Official Monthly Minger at Chacho's (October 2007). Sometimes, our nights can get pretty crazy.  This night was no exception.  Was it the drinks? The company? Something in the air?  Regardless, those of you who were there may have the answers (hee! hee!).  Many secrets (shhh!).  Although, there are pictures...somewhere. Uh oh! :) *** MEETinSANFRANCISCO: Drinks at the Jade Bar in June 2009 was a blast. I was only walking distance from my hotel so was able to enjoy the drinks with this group. I even new a member who I met back in Hawai'i. Great time!

I met Gracie at the Portland Celebration and she was a blast! I didn't get to hang out with her as much as I would have wanted to but I know she definitely would be someone I can party with! She's a crazy and fun girl and her energy is so contagious! Thanks Gracie for making my time in Portland even more fun!

    <-( Steve says ;-)
I first crossed paths with Gracie in '07 at a MiPL BBQ, and immediately knew that if she ever moved to Pdx we would wind up hanging out. Lo and behold -- here she is! I appreciate Gracie's constant smile and enthusiasm, as well as her positive, upbeat spirit. Here's to a long and many-storied friendship, G!

    <-( Rebecca says ;-)
It was so great to meet you, girl! Thanks for stopping by Eugene during your big move. Feel free to come on by anytime you like, we're only a few hours away... Enjoy your new home!

Gracie, you're too kind ... and gracious. I thought it was funny & entertaining when we met up at Maunawili thanks to Fernando & Kayo (that was the start of meetin for me), and it was really humorous having drinks with our friends at Jade in SF. After all this time! So, I hope you have a nice road trip the rest of the way to Portland and you can have times there that remind you of Hawaii.

    <-( Pablo says ;-)
gracie you confused me when you said you had a daughter! i really enjoyed your robust active conversations and you really got me thinking about bum-hopping-meetin events. hahaa. stay cool. who knows. we might meet again in portland.

    <-( Annmarie says ;-)
You don't need another testimonial of what a warm and friendly person you are, so I am not sending you one even though it was really nice to meet you and I am sure you are going to be a kick in the pants for the Portland scene....nope no testimonial for you.

    <-( Doug says ;-)
Gracie! I met Gracie through my great friend Brian, and can already call her a great friend after knowing her a week. Gracie is kind of like a party fairy, who goes around waving her wand and placing her spark all around. From the brief time I have known her, I can tell she is just happy to witness everyone else have a good time with the hard work she puts into party planning. Gracie, glad you are joining MIPL!

    <-( Barry says ;-)
Gracie Rocks! She is the perfect hostess and makes everyone feel like the've known her forever. Vegas's loss is Portland's gain any time she's here! I look forward to more PDX events.

    <-( Ron says ;-)
Gracie is a great hostess that makes certain that everyone is informed and having fun. She followed up with even the maybe people which is so beyond call of duty. Her and Brain are great together and I loved their rendition of cheap trick surrender. hope we meetup when you are in PDX!

    <-( Dan says ;-)
Alright, not like Gracie needs another testimonial, but she kept bugging me about it so I figured I'd throw in my $.02. I was too lazy to read all 8 million of her testimonials, but I'd probably agree with them in that they are most likely just variants on how awesome she is. She even wrote me a testimonial after I (allegedly) dropped her on her head. I have only a vague recollection of said event and since a) that is not something I normally do to people, b) alcohol was involved, and c) head injuries often cause delusions, I'm thinking she made the whole thing up. However, that in no way diminishes her awesomeness. Oh yeah, she's awesome at pool as well!

    <-( Brian says ;-)
Note: This is an improper use of a testimonial, as they are designed to let you, the reader, know something cool about Gracie. Meet her and you'll now what's cool. This is strictly inside jokes from the time we spent together in Vegas, January 2009. It's 4:44! Passing notes on Keno sheets. (Does that count as a "kenote"?) Stop lights are good! Mission accomplished! If I win, I'll buy you some blank> Where's the effing car?!?!

    <-( Paul says ;-)
Gracie is such an awesome event planner! Really made it easy for the newbie (me) to go out, meet people, and have fun! I look forward to hanging out in Las Vegas whenever I come around which will probably be fairly often.

    <-( Adam says ;-)
It was a pleasure meeting Gracie! What a lively and friendly person she is! She definitely made me feel welcome as I went to one of her events(Hennessey's Pub) for the first time. What a great dancer too!
