With only locals on the ride and with the hosts a bit crash-shy after John bit asphalt during our scouting ride, we decided to bag the MAX ride up to the zoo and "zoo bomb" ride down to the Washington Park rose garden. Instead, after visiting the smallest city park in the world, we headed straight for the waterfront loop, then checked out the rose gardens in Ladd's Addition before getting on to the more important part of the event: Beer at the Lucky Lab.
