If you have not gone to one of Chris's poker nights, you don't know what you are missing. He is VERY prepared and actually has a REAL poker table. He even has a set up that let's you know when the blinds go up. This girl is from Vegas, and honestly, felt like I was in Vegas! Shannon, who picked Gracie up, showed up just as the game was ready to begin. People brought in their spare change, cashed it in for chips, and in no time, game was on. Chris is defintely serious about his games. He seems to go to a mindset, but once the game is going, he relaxes a bit, but constantly has his eyes on everything going on at the table. We discovered, that Sunil is one to be reckon with. Watch him! Is he bluffing? Does he have a real hand? Only he knows, but he definitely can play. Mollie, our little talker (teasing), knew what hands to play, and which ones to fold. She may be quiet, but I think she has a little strategy going on. Shannon admitted that this was her first "real" game and guess what, she did pretty good! She was able to hang in there for quite sometime and seemed to know which hand to play and which ones not to raise, etc. Good job, Shannon. John, he's just so friendly. I had actually met him last time I was in Portland and he was just as friendly this time as he was then. I just don't remember how he did at the table? Hmmm? Considering he was next to Sunil, who knows. Tanna was defintely easy to talk to. Again, for being an outsider, she made me feel comfortable in no time. If I had any questions, she was defintely their to answer them. Although, I think that our excitement was defintely about the upcoming Vegas trip (cannot wait!). Also present were Patty, Amy, Laura, and Jane. Hmmm? Now to remember which of you was the highstakes gambler. I was defintely impressed with their skills. I may be the girl from Vegas, but gambler, I am not. Texas Hold'em, um, I play on the computer when it's NOT my money. Sticking with nickles and dimes, which is why this was PERFECT!
