Event Details Are you one of the many Portlanders who I often hear say "I should visit Ashland _someday_" but never gets around to it? Or are you a fan of live theater who has never heard of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival? Or maybe you're one of the wild and crazy frequent attendees of these trips and just can't get enough? This little event is a planning meeting to discuss the two roadtrip events that I will be posting soon to travel to Ashland to see a bunch of plays at OSF in the spring and fall of 2010. Just a few days after this planning meeting, OSF will be opening up their pre-sale period for members to buy tickets for next year. I'll be buying tix to the shows that are most likely to sell out at that time, so I'd like to get a good gauge of interest level before then. Among the things we'll discuss are: * Background about Ashland, OSF and our trips for those that haven't gone before. * Choosing a weekend for the spring trip. This time, we'll have our choice of 3 weekends: one in March, one in April and one in May that would each work as part of the "Grand Plan" (i.e. groups of plays that allow us to see their entire lineup of 11 shows between the 2 trips). Just FYI, because of how their schedule works in the fall, we're forced into picking Oct 8th-10th for that trip. * Hotels - we've tried a couple of different places the past few years. I'll cover the pluses and minuses of each and see where the group would prefer staying. * How the deposits for tickets work and what to expect for total costs. * The actual lineup of plays.
