Event DetailsThis book sounds intriguing so join me! Censored 2010 reports the stories most people apparently didn't hear about in mainstream news media. From bank bailouts to the lobbyists on Wall Street, these events were the most underreported and often ignored. Plan on meeting upstairs around 7pm. I'll try and have a MiPL sign visible. Please update your rsvp the day before if your plans change and your unable to make it. Thanks much! Publisher Comments: In addition to highlighting the 25 most important underreported news stories, Peter Phillips and Mickey Huff's Censored 2010 includes in-depth essays on select issues, plus updates on previous years' censored stories and the "junk food" stories that get all the coverage. An invaluable alternative-media resource. Project Censored, founded in 1976 by Carl Jensen, has as its principal objective the advocacy for and protection of First Amendment rights and the freedom of information in the United States. In 2008, Project Censored received the PEN/Oakland Literary Censorship Award. |
