Homewood Cemetery Written By Kim 10/28/2009 click for full size I was joined by Monika and Mayura in a very informal "hike" around the cemetery grounds. We weren't disappointed - by they colors, the weather or the art, history and immense ostentation. Obelisks and pyramids vied with more traditional angels and artwork. It was an interesting way to spend a beautiful evening. More Photos |

and the next day...... I did go back and spent 3 hours snapping dozens of photos. I was mostly all alone the whole time, it was just as beautiful an evening as it was the day before. I got a map and a self guided tour flier from the office, the lady there was trying to sell me a plot! I found Heinz, Frick and Mellon all in sec 14, its the one that the pyramid is in. Kim thanks for that it was a memorable event. I am going back there for sure. |

Helen you crack me up! Too funny. It was a great time - also my first time there, but now I will have to go back and find Andrew Carnegie's grave. |

Wait.... Who took this photo if there were only three of you on the hike? The main shot is apparently taken from the ground up...c-r-e-e-p-y! |

hmmmm.... Despite what you said, "It's not a Halloween, scary thing," I did note the Hitchcock-ian touch to the last few photos! ;-) I like cemetery settings, too. |

I'm jealous Homewood Cemetery is one of the Hidden wonders of the burgh. Andrew Carnegie is buried there. Great place to do a photo tour. |
