Jason and Omar assured us another song would be quite literally illegal, so the last of the MEEPs and other stragglers trudged reluctantly outside to go home or hit Ritters for some grub. More than a few were already thinking about next time… The MEETin crew turned out in force and, despite a very packed crowd, ruled various sections of the dance floor from start to finish. The DJ’s spun incredible songs from a funked up version of “Purple Haze” to crowd pleasers like “Sex Machine,” “Superstition,” “Brickhouse,” (She’s mighty, mighty!), the Jackson 5, and – the song that made even infamous non-dancers shuck and jive – “Flashlight”! A shout out to Jason for cooking up the wax on the platter, and to all you fabulous folks who braved the hipster crowd and GOT DOWN! (Sorry if I miss anyone.): Ray, Nancy, Alene, Chris, Carmen, Lee Ann, Victoria, Mazz, Amber and Chris, Jess (and her sister), Drew, Brian, Cyd, Priscilla, Bob, Dave, Vitaly (and a Lilly), DL, Barry, Leslie, Ross (without crutches!), Gerry, Ruth, Susie, Joe, Suhail , and your two humble hosts. Oh yes…and it is worth noting that the Mad Elf did appear with side effects both hilarious and soon to be legendary. From Colleen: This was my favorite event ever! I had a funking good time. Jason	Thanks for coming out everybody! It was great to meet and speak with several of you! The size of the Meep crowd was honestly a little overwhelming, lol. Cyd	what a ..perfect way to kick off the post-holiday week! I wasn't feeling great and swore I was just coming out for one drink, but the fact that I stayed on the dance floor until the wee hours of the morning was testament to the excellent vinyl and the groovy company. I hope you post this again!
