Holliday Cheer commitee
Do you have the desire to serve a meal to the homeless? A drive to collect toys or food for those in need this holiday season? Would you like to ensure that homeless teens get a gift this year? Or donate your old clothing to keep your neighbors warm this winter?
If so please respond to this post. These are just some of the things our group did last year to help ensure that those in need had a happier holiday season for the past few years.
If you know a group in need or want to help with the events/groups we usually work with please respond.
Once we have a group of volunteers together we can hold our first meeting and get cracking.

Hey Everyone,
our first planning meeting is tonight 5:30pm @ Archies on Carson St.
This is where we will determine who we want to help and how we can make things happen. Don't worry if you can't make it to the meeting. I will make a project post like last year and we can all keep each other updated via that.

Seems most people that have so far responded can make it Monday.
So how about Monday night around 6 or 630pm near the South Side works so Barb can make it to the movie at 715??

I'm in for sure. My time happens to be extremely flexible, so the initial meeting is no problem for me. You name the time and place, and I should be able to make it. ;^)

If possible I would love to get together this week and start planning.
I am free mon & tues night and wed thurs night but not till around 8pm.
When is everyone else available? I would prefer to plan it for when the most people can attend.

I work Wed Thurs & Fri till 7:30pm So I can't make it Frank's event.
I would much prefer that our planning meeting be just thos of us that are going to be a part of the group, breaking out the ideas and suggestions for the entire holiday season. It is much to difficult to do with others that are not involved.

So glad you're starting this again - I was impressed with how much we accomplished as a community last year!
Unfortunately I won't be much help for planning, my time is super limited lately. However, once projects have been picked and planned, I will be there with bells on and donations in hand!
