August Wilson's classic "Two Trains Running" is set in the Hill District in 1969.

In 2008, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette rated Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company's (PPTCO) production of the August Wilson classic "Two Trains Running" as the third best show of the year out of well over 100 plays.

The stunning new August Wilson Center is proud for PPTCO to re-stage "Two Trains Running" as part of the remarkable Aunt Ester Cycle series during November 10-22, which also includes other August Wilson plays "Gem of the Ocean" and "Radio Golf" ... the series also includes another play "Women of the Hill" written and directed by Ping Chong and Talvin Wilks along with 2 symposium panels examining August Wilson's "King Hedley II" and the legend of Aunt Ester.

Believe it or not, all 6 events can be purchased for only $85.50 (4 plays + 2 symposia) ... and only $68 for August Wilson Center members. The AWC membership is very reasonable and well worth it. However, I'm already a AWC member, so feel to email me if you'd like discount tickets.

For more information about the Aunt Ester Cycle, check out this article from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette
