Event DetailsPitt's Hillman Library has a cafe called the Cup & Chaucer (cute, no?) and I just found out that they sometimes have events, such as live music and the like, in the cafe. This particular event is collaboration between the University of Pittsburgh Library System and Calliope House (the Pittsburgh Folk Music Society). It's called the Emerging Legends Series, where they highlight local musicians -- the musician for this particular one is Caleb Lovely. From the site: Caleb's music, best described as pop rock, combines the purity inherent in his youthfulness with a level of musical mastery seldom seen. Though only twenty-one years of age, Caleb draws on his experiences in life and love to create songs that resonate with audiences both young and old. Caleb continues to make a name for himself in and around Pittsburgh, playing both solo acoustic and full band shows. We'll meet at 5:30pm at the Cup & Chaucer cafe, which is located on the ground floor of the Hillman Library. The music is from 6pm to 7pm so feel free to come later or leave early. The concert is free and the Hillman Library is open to the public (though I'm already prepared to feel really old, since it'll mostly be students). |
