Harry Potter& the Half-Blood Prince - Viewed 1541 Times
The scene in the cave was very well done.
Unfortunately, the film focused too much on the worst part of the sixth book : the teenage love lives of the characters. The movie really drags during these scenes.
Even worse, the best chapter in the book, "Horcruxes", is reduced to an emotionally-flat scene with three or four lines.

Wait for Redbox on this one folks
Not having read the books and going strictly off entertainment value, I should get my money back! This movie dragged like an anchor in the shallows, I kept waiting for the plot to thicken and develop but it never did. What was accomplished was the absolute certainty that you will be seeing another harry potter movie come out very soon it's like watching an HBO mini-series at this point. Corporate america got me this time but I'll be waiting for the redbox edition for the next one.

I've . . .
. . . never read the books so I have no care how closely it follows the written narative. From a movie perspective, it's good and I was thoroughly entertained. I enjoyed the opening better than the ending and I thought RADCLIFFE was a little wooden but true to form throughout the series. But, yes, the art direction and set design were fantastic. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an Academy Award nomination for those categories.

Harry Potter
I respectfully disagree. I thought the movie was well done-albeit-not as good as the books. They never are- the longer the books, the more they have to cut away. It was well acted and the art direction as always, superb. The magic and wizardry is all believable- I think we tend to take taht for granted by now. I reccomend it to Harry Potter fans.
