As our happy hour Czar, Mike was the first person in MiNY that most of you met, (or will meet), and I can think of no better ambassador. A man of varied tastes, talents and interests. Mike is my favorite former frat boy, (of the John Belushi / Animal House era). I can't imagine you haven't already met him, but if you haven't, well, what are you waiting for?

    <-( John says ;-)
Don't be fool by his hair...Mike is a great guy and a great friend.

    <-( Asif says ;-)
Enough has been said about this guy. But its never enough when you are talking about Mike ;)

    <-( Katie says ;-)
Mike is awesome. He fun, smart and a blast to hang out with. I can not wait for his movie!!!!

    <-( Nik says ;-)
Mike does a great job keeping up with the youngin's for an old guy. Happy hours are always well attended and you can always count on a good time with some old and new faces. Let him choose a song for you at karaoke, that's always fun.

    <-( Peter says ;-)
My first event was the HH, the Czar was there to welcome the new folk - personable, easy going, and a quick wit; definitely the right ambassador (why is the President wasting his time on John Bolton). Now that been back more than a few times, I see this boy (yeah, just a youngster like me) is multi-talented (check out his website); plus his musical taste is about 99% accurate, PH

    <-( Jason says ;-)
Believe the hype! Mike is awesome! A cache of naughty jokes, laid back attitude, and he's a bass player -- how does he top it all? By riding Batman: The Ride as his first rollercoaster ever! Mike rules. Period.

    <-( Craig says ;-)
This too has been a long time coming... Mike ROCKS! He thorws a kick arse Happy Hour, knows how to party and play like a Rock God. Seriously, he's a good guy and I'm glad to know him.

    <-( Michelle says ;-)
By Mike always bringing new and regular members together through his weekly happy hours shows his dedication to MINY which is admirable. Mike is a pleasure to know because of his sense of humor, role on the band RAM, films he makes, his writing, and art and on and on. What would MINY be without you. Cheers!

    <-( Sami says ;-)
All Hail the Czar. But seriously Mike is way more then a Czar. For many new people he is the first person that they meet and he's become one of our good will ambassadors for MINY. Beyond that he's a nice guy who knows how to make people feel comfortable in any situation. Let's just all hope that the reign of the Czar is long and prosperous.

    <-( Jackie says ;-)
Mr. Manese....the day I met him was the start of a beautiful friendship. Kind, funny (not funny ha-ha), and inviting....he's like coffee: light and sweet, but not as strong ;). Anyways, Mike is multi-talented, multi-faceted and an all around good guy. He always adds that 'je ne sais quois' to every happy hour, so make sure you meet this guy soon! You won't regret it!

    <-( Jennifer says ;-)
Mike, AKA the Czar is definetly a cool guy. Oh his talents, they seem to be endless; with his film making, music making, tummy aching ...laughs. He's intriguing, interesting and someone that's so not predicatable. Totally refreshing to meet someone who is a little off the beaten path but really, pretty On.

    <-( Udo says ;-)
Is there anything left to write about MINYs happy hour czar? Mike is definitely a cool guy and I like to hang out with him. And I'm always up for someone who's even odder than I am. Make sure you get a glimpse of his very particular way of being funny. Thank god, though, that I met Mike before I joined MiNY - maybe I would be one of the scared away newbies, Tyler wrote about.

    <-( Tyler says ;-)
Mike is cool because he has a very unique approach to scaring newbies away. He'll use his nice guy charm and attitude to make them feel welcomed, and then after a couple of hours of making them feel like part of the group he'll suddenly break out some jokes, which leads other people to break out even more vulgar jokes, and before long the chaos has displaced any misperceptions that we are normal people. Good times, good times...

    <-( Stefanie says ;-)
Mike is awesome. He made me feel welcomed at my very first event. He's got a great sense of humor, and is really smart. He's making a movie, and also in a band. So not only should you come and talk to him, you should also become his groupie.

    <-( Rose says ;-)
Mike is a real class act — by the end of last night he gave me his shirt to wear to bed, and let me feel his “muscles.” If only he wasn’t afraid of ghosts… Actually, he’s a pretty good guy. And if you haven’t been to one of his happy hours yet, than you’re missing one of the best events in this city.

    <-( Laia says ;-)
Mike is an odd Czar: he is never angry! Despite the long time it took me to return his testimonial, I’ve never noticed a trace of hostility. Let me say I had to fight against my “no testimonial” policy, and you figure out how much he means to me. Hurry up, take advantage of what has been well described by others and I’ll add his wide range film expertise, from comedy to horror and even girl flicks. Say hi to him at the next Wednesday Happy Hour.

    <-( Lissa says ;-)
Mike has to be one of the most boldest and adventurous people that I know. I mean, who else would trust the word of a group of people he never met and then take a ride with them upstate for a hike in the woods? All I can say is, thanks bro. I am really happy to have met you. It been over a year now and I look forward to more years to come! You are now my official rock climbing/scrambling partner ;o)

    <-( Gundeep says ;-)
Man i met this guy at happy hour, this guy has multiple talents, musician, writer, artist, The czar of happy hour, Marathon runner. Its been really good to know him, you should definately meet this character my friend mike at his happy hour or u r missing out.

    <-( Ramon says ;-)
All hail the Czar of Happy Hour!!! I've known Mike for almost a year now and he's one cool dude you'd want to hang out with. Jokemeister, MC and Storyteller all wrapped up in one, not to mention, also the brains behind one of my favorite comic strips. Keep up the hilarity.
