    Your Interests
I enjoy going to movies, hanging out w/my friends, listening to music, travelling whenever and to wherever I can, playing pool, meeting new people , smiling, trying new things, going to shows i.e plays, musicals, ballet. I enjoy doing ceramics, photography, and making jewelry. So, on the subject of photography, I tend to take a lot of pictures. Some of the pictures that I've taken can be viewed by going to the Additional Photos section. They're not professional shots at all, there just stuff I took in fun.
    Favorite Music
The genres that I tend to listen to are Pop, Rock, Alternative, and Musical Soundtracks... As for specific musicians right now on my I-Pod I've got Nickleback, Hoobastank, Billy Joel, REM, a variety of 80's music, Blink 182, Bon Jovi, Creed, Linkin Park, Maroon 5, Vertical Horizon, Pearl Jam, Puddle of Mudd, Simple Plan, 3 Doors Down, Indigo Girls and Switchfoot to name a few.
    Favorite Books
At the moment I have to admit that my favorites are the Harry Potter Series.
    Favorite TV Shows
Don't really watch enough TV to have a favorite.
    Favorite Movies
At this point in time I don't have any that I'd really say of my favorites. If I had to choose a favorite I'd have to say then the Harry Potter collection. As for genres of movies I enjoy pretty much everything except horror .

    About Me
I'm a native NYer..which I know is a rarity. I enjoy trying new things and having new experiences. My theory is that Life is short so why not try everything at least once.

    Your Match: ESFJ

The Caregiver You are sympathetic and caring, putting friends and family first. A creature of habit, you prefer routines and have trouble with change. You love being in groups - whether you're helping people or working on a project. You are good at listening, laughing, and bringing out the best in people. You would make a great nurse, social worker, or teacher.

    Some of my favorite quotes:

Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.

We can only learn to love by loving.

I've got a dream too, but it's about singing and dancing and making people happy. That's the kind of dream that gets better the more people you share it with.

Understand that most problems are a good sign. Problems indicate that progress is being made, wheels are turning, you are moving toward your goals. Beware when you have no problems. Then you've really got a problem . . . Problems are like landmarks of progress.

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.

What else is love but understanding and rejoicing in the fact that another person lives, acts, and experiences otherwise than we do…?

What is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil.

I got these questions off of Balitmore Dawn's profile and liked them so much that I decided to do them myself.
My uncle once: was the head of a hosptial.
Never in my life: have I been so drunk I threw up.
High School was: something that I don't want to do again.
I will never forget: the first time I fell in love!
    I once met:Adam Sandler
    By noon I'm usually: starving.
If I only had: more patience
Terry Schiavo: hadn’t been truly alive in over 10 years.
What worries me most: the future
What I miss most about the eighties: Hypercolor
By this time next year: I will be in graduate school hopefully!
A better name for me would be: Not sure...though people tend to make up names for me.
I have a hard time understanding: people who are judgemental
You know I like you if: I hug you
If I won an award, the first person I'd thank would be: depends on the award…
    I can't live without: love
My ideal breakfast is: A bagel with Lox and Cream Cheese or going to the Popover Cafe(a must do in NYC)
If you visit my hometown, I suggest: You can do anything you want to...I was born in NYC.
If you spend the night at my house: You'll wake up to breakfast in bed.
Your mom: probably isn't a cool as mine.
    The world could do without:war.

    kiss my ass2

Sami speaks her mind like a true New Yorker; organizes great events. As a native NYer she knows about lots of esoteric places to eat and drink good stuff. Go Sami!

    <-( Jocelyn says ;-)
Sammy has showed me what real New Yorkers are like! Strong and assertive, yet very caring deep down, with a heart of gold. I've really enjoying hanging out with her and discovering new parts of the city. She and Jeff will be sorely missed after I move...

    <-( Amy says ;-)
Sami is a great person and hosts wonderful events. I got a chance to meet her at a dinner and it was a lot of fun. If you attend a Sami event, you'll have a great time! Amy

    <-( Lindsay says ;-)
It has been a true pleasure getting to know Sami. We hit it off immediately at my first event, and I've only enjoyed her company more and more since then. I look forward to continuing to spend time with her, and everyone else should too!

    <-( Annmarie says ;-)
Sami embodies a true New Yorker - All Heart! She made my first MiNY event spectacular. She even found me someone take home to mom :-P Have a great year and keep up the good work!

    <-( Dale says ;-)
Sami is such a helpful friend. Because I'm planning to go to NYC, I contacted her. She has since given me so many wonderful tips that makes my planning such a breeze. Hope to see you in NYC, Sami!

    <-( Craig says ;-)
I finally had the pleasure of meeting Sami during her weeklong trip to the Bay Area to see her boyfriend, sightsee, and of course meet as many MIEB members as she could. Sami is very nice and a very interesting person to talk to and I hope she can make it out to the Bay Area again soon so I can get to know her even more. I understand that she can cook, so I fully expect for her to cook for us the next time she is in town! ;) Someday I hope to take her up on her offer to show me around town whenever I make it back east to NYC!

Sami made me feel so welcome and comfortable at my first event. She's definitely made an MiNY convert out of me! Thanks for a great evening, Sami :)

    <-( Jeff says ;-)
Oh, my dear Sami! Watch out for her. I was merely coming to the East Coast to take a grand tour of New York City and Boston, and this lady sold the City so well that I walked away with an offer I couldn't refuse! Sami will give the shirt of her back for anyone. I simply cannot ask to find a more thoughtful, sweet, caring, loyal person out there. I am eternally grateful that our paths crossed. Just be sure of one thing: make sure you have unlimited Sprint PCS-to-PCS calling on your cell phone plan ;)

    <-( Mike says ;-)
Sami is awesome. She is a caring person and has been kind enough to help me with Meetin stuff more than once without hesistation. I am glad to have her as my friend.

    <-( Rob H. says ;-)
Sami is explosively wonderful; as she boisterously exhorts, her philosophy, caring and nurturing nature shine. Sami can help you by listening, touch you by caring and energize you by motivating. She toils tirelessly for others, both in her vocation and in Meetin events. When you're feeling down, you can bet there's a care package in the mail for you and a cheerful ringing on your phone. Pick up, and she's there to make your day better and chase away the blues.

    <-( Sandra says ;-)
Sami was the most inclusive, welcoming person I met when I first came to Meetin, and she remains the same. Her events attract a very diverse crowd, and are always a lot of fun. An added incentive in getting to know Sami better is that you are treated to the best hugs ever! I also admire that Sami is so dedicated to Meetin.

    <-( Annie says ;-)
Sami welcomed me as soon as I moved to NYC! She knows so much about the city, it amazes me. When she is around, I will never get lost or be at a loss for finding a new place to explore.

    <-( Sean says ;-)
Sami is now my west-side connection. She has shown me the ropes here at meetinny and is very friendly, fun and chatty. :) She's been with the group for a while and knows her way around, and everyone should definitely make it their business to walk up and say hello!

    <-( Fabienne says ;-)
"Life of the party" does not begin to describe Sami. She's a lively one, this alpha gal!!! I love going to her events, because I know there's never a dull moment with her. Friendship easily follows upon meeting her.

    <-( Scott says ;-)
Sami is very friendly and a perfect person to host events. She knows the city well and is very lively. Make sure you don't miss her events!

    <-( Ryan says ;-)
Sami is a great ambassador to the greatest city. On short notice, she arranged a nice dinner for visiting MIB members. Friendly, full of energy, with unparalleled knowledge of the city makes Sami the person to contact when visiting NYC.

    <-( Rob says ;-)
I met Sami at the restaurant and started chatting with her even before I learned that she was there for meetin. She had a lot of energy and was very easy to talk to. She proceeded to introduce me to everyone at the dinner, making me feel very welcomed. Friendly and outgoing, Sami is among the most hospitable people I have met in my first year in Manhattan and also a great conversationalist.

    <-( Craig says ;-)
Sami- She is just the best. Funny, witty and wise. Outspoken, strong and never mean. She's one of the good ones! If you're ever at a function just swing over to Sami, she'll make you feel like you've know everyone forever. She's a rocking, kick-arse chic...even if she doesn't know the words to "The Gambler" she still cool in my book!

    <-( Krista says ;-)
Sami is a major part of the MiNY experience. She was one of the first friendly faces I met. She's intelligent and super positive. She has a hilarious sense of humor that keeps you smiling. If you havent met her, you soon will, so get ready for a great conversation about the city and the group.
