D.C. United has enough energy without Red Bull! Written By Sibel 04/04/2006 click for full size
What a perfect day for the season opener of D.C. United! Sunday afternoon was sunny and mild made all the better by great company (and beer)! The first half of the game saw D.C. United down by 2, with one goal a result of a sloppy mistake by the goalie.
Thankfully for us, D.C. United's veterans stayed strong and had enough energy without needing Red Bull (NY/NJ MetroStars sold out to Red Bull!). Game ended with a tie of 2-2. Several of us went on to the Pourhouse to join Ken, Dana, and a few others to wish Ken a happy birthday. This was a great return to MEETin event for me and I thank everyone who came out. If you missed it, be sure to stay tuned for the next outing! More Photos

Looks like fun! I went to my first DCU game several years ago and had a blast. If you do another one I'm in (big shocker). |

Thanks for hosting! We get an extra hour of daylight in the evening and get United's home opener on the same day? What a country! |

Thanks Sibel for organizing this! My first trip to the RFK Stadium and my first DC United game. How did you know that all the scoring would happen at "our" goal? |
