now I know why everyone was raving about this movie when it was playing out here a few months ago, and I've got nothing but good things to say about the spread you put out; delicious! -- Thanks for hosting! |

Sad but incredible movie Thanks John for sharing this special movie with us. The dumplings were delicious! If I hadn't watched this movie, I would never have know about the French classic singer Edith Piaf or her tragic story. Her music is hauntingly beautiful. My favorites are La Foule because it's beautiful tango music and Non, je ne regrette rien - this song really speaks to me, I found the french relics to it, and I have been playing it over and over today. Thanks for the CD and lyrics, this was so generous of you, it made a memorable end to the evening. |

Inspiring! John, thanks for the great movie night. I love the song#5, #8, and #10 in the CD. Her singings were rather cheerful and joyful dispite(or because of) her tragic life.Believe it or not, I saw "hope" in this movie....By the way, those dumplings made me addicted to them! |

Great movie Now I finally got to see (and hear) what you have been raving about the last few months. Hope Marion wins the Oscar for her portrayal of Edith Piaf. Thanks also for the endless supply of dumplings, curry and pork buns. I'm all hyped up for dim sum now. |
