Written By Carmel 06/05/2006 click for full size Date of Arrival: Sunday, May 21, 2006 Date of Departure: Wednesday, May 24, 2006 After a one night stopover in Reykjavik, Iceland with Carmel, Denise, and Kerry, I arrived in London on a rainy Sunday. We proceeded to the Fairway Hotel, where we met up with daddy Mikey, CharAnn, W. Dana and Philly friends Mike and Dave. There was even a pre-party in Kerry and Denise's room. Over a late lunch, I got to meet two new friends from MEETinBOISE, Josh and Huy, whom Monica had found at the British Library because Huy had a "MEETin" sign sticking out from his backpack. On our first night in London, I attended the Happy Hour at Cheers hosted by daddy Mikey and Franck. I met many MEETinLONDON friends there, including Silvia, Moira, Michelle, Duygu, Panna, Cristina, Matt, and Richard. We tried to find a place to have karaoke afterwards but we were unsuccessful so we ended up at "O" Bar and we closed it down. The following day, I went with my MEETinDC friends to see Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace. We also had high tea, a very English tradition, at The Orangerie at Kensington Palace. That night, there was an afterparty at the Fairway Hotel and the shall-not-be-named MEETiners were so loud we almost got kicked out! My time in London was short but a lot of fun!
