My first trip to the BigD! As usual, my travel gal pal, Carmel tucked me into her luggage. I love making a mess in there and she gets mad with me when I swap all her socks around! I met Cheryl, our MeetinDallas Mama the second day. She's tiny! I think I was nearly as big as her! We went out to dinner that night at a great little Greek place where we drank pinot and hung out all night with the rat pack. The next morning, with a Where Mag in hand and a map of downtown, I hitched a ride with Cheryl's baby. We went on the Dart rail toward the West End where we got some Texas BBQ at Sonny Bryans. Then with a full tummy, it was off to the Book Depository on Elm Street. It was pretty eerie walking down to the Grassy Knolls and looking at it in real life. (looks just like it did in the JFK assasination footage) We also checked out the other sites, Dealy Plaza, JFK Memorial, the Conspiracy Museum. The rest of the day was spent hanging out at Cheryl's apartment. She said I was the perfect house guest and even deputized me. Now I have my own little Sheriff's badge from Dallas. YEE HA! On my last night, we had dinner in my honor at SPIKE restaurant where we got to meet the rest of the gang – lovely Anna (whose twin is Olga from MeetinDC), Chris, Cary, Nicolle, Sky & Francois.
