he did
make an appearance in Pittsburgh in March...he was intact at that time.

Logistical question
This question has been bugging me lately. Does spIKEY ever require maintenance? I mean, it's been dragged to so many different cities. Does it ever pop a seam? Or.. an eye falls off.. or a dog gnaws the arm of and stuffing comes out? Or.. anything? How is that puppet kept safe from the unruly masses?
Why do I think of these things? Why?! O_o

spIKEY arrived in Atlanta this morning. This afternoon, he went on his first disaster response with the American Red Cross. TOmorrow, he's going to meet up with Alayna and some of the MEETinATLANTA crew who will give him a "real" tour of the city. Stay tuned...

For those of you who were wondering about the MEETin mascot spIKEY and his whereabouts, he has now made his way safely out to the other coast (thanks to your lovely MiDC member Carmel) and MEETinEASTBAY was lucky enough too be his first stop on his California tour ;-). Our distinguished MiDC hostess wiith the mostest Carmel hosted a dinner at the French Vietnamese Restaurant Le Cheval in Oakland last night and 13 MEETin members made it out to check out the little blue guy in person. Since we have become infamous in the EASTBAY for our tiki obsession and our Hawaiian paries (aka "LAU"s... LEAFlau, SNOWlau, SHAMlau), we decided that it was only fitting that spIKEY be tikified at our dinner. Here is a preview of spiKEY's new tikirrific attire:

Hello from Meetin Minneapolis! I just saw SpIKEY on the Today Show today next to Al Rocher the weatherman! Cool lookin' little guy! Come on up here to the most northern state in the continental US! We may have cold weather outside but warm hearts with "Minnesota Nice". So SpIKEY, come on up!

I miss my little buddy!
Boy do I miss him! He's so cuddlable! It's just not the same to hug my pillow at night and not spIKEY!! I'm visiting a lot of MI cities, so I'd be happy to take him along, just let me know! I'm headed to NY next month even!!
