Wall E - Viewed 6125 Times ( CLICK HERE FOR RELATED WEB LINK )
I found Wall E to be a cutesy robotic love story that appeals to all ages. The more powerful theme for me was the apparent obesity issue. There it was in glaring details what happens to a society that doesn't exercise, walk or move around without assistance. We see it now with the folks on scooters and so forth. We may not live on a far away planet, but the western diet is steering us in the direction of mass destruction. Hope this is a wake up call to many. I am optimistic, I know. :-}

WALL-E is awesome!
This movie is RAD! I have seen it 2x, once with my nephew. OK, so I'm a romantic at heart, so that aspect really got me. I cried! But the advertisements cleverly omit the other key plot: abuse/neglect of the body and planet. Important messages of several sorts.

I Loved This Movie
I took an 8yr old to see this, and we loved it. Pixar just gets better and better. I really liked that there was very little dialogue in the movie - it's amazing how far CGI has come with body language. We were enthralled. The environmental and cultural messages were strong but not pedantic - children view the world differently from adults, and we do forget this. We talked for a long time afterwords about recycling, empathy, pollution, and what can be done. Highly recommended.
I thought it was great. They pull the old switcheroo on me. The previews didn't do this movie justice. I think Greenpeace secretly sponsored this movie. Me and my girlfriend saw it and loved it. I refuse to give anything up, because it is worth seeing on the big screen. Although, so some reason you leave the movie a bit down, thinking if an animated film finally told it like it is...
...are illustrated such as environmental degradation. The opening sequence really left me feeling depressed. The animation is simply fantastic but the plot is tired. Yes, cute and fun with some terrifically funny gags. Good science fiction but overall I was underwhelmed.
