Monica and I had some chat before we finally met in person. I was impressed by how this Spanish girl was leading the Meetin London so well from Amsterdam :). I had heard a lot about her and even if I saw her for a short time in Paris, I must say that I was not disappointed. At the first glance, from her words, you see Monica is a warm, nice and considerate person and as time elapses you know your first impression is true. Just an example. Monica was one of the first person to sign up for our Convention in Paris. She trusted us and encouraged us in this project whereas we were a small group and even if she did not know us. Then she had to change her plans at the last minute for the Convention. She could come only on Saturday and had to leave on Sunday morning. Many would have said that was too short when you travel from Amsterdam. But Monica rented a car on Saturday morning, drove by herself to Paris, joined us for our pic nic on Champ de Mars, climbed the 700 steps to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower, started to party with us in Pub Saint Michel, brought her friend back to the hotel because she was sick, came back to party with us till 5:30 am, and a few hours later drove back to Amsterdam. All of this with an ear to ear smile, joking and lots of energy. Do you know many people so dedicated to others ? Monica, I can't wait to see you again !  <-( Franck says ;-)
When I first met Monica as she emerged from Tower Hill tube station, she was radiant with kindness and her interest in others was inspiring. I look forward to hanging out with her when she moves to London, given the dynamism she brings across from Amsterdam, we have seen nothing yet!!!  <-( CharAnn says ;-)
London has moved up on the list of cities that I must visit. Why do you ask? All I need is one reason and that reason is Monica. She has a contagious smile and is always looking to have a good time. After partying with us and singing Karaoke on our last night in Amsterdam, Monica agreed to make sure we got home. What does she do? She walks us all the way to the door of hostel. I told Philly Mike in no uncertain terms that he had to make sure he got this beautful lady back safely to where ever she was staying. London, here we come! Girl, you rock and be safe. I had the privilege of meeting Monica in Amsterdam, at the MEETin mixer. Prior to that, we had communicated via e-mail as she tried to help me find something productive to do during my several hours of layover in Heathrow. While we were not successful in doing that, I do know now that had Monica been living in London instead of Amsterdam at that time, those hours in London would've flown. Nevertheless, I was excited to meet her in person. She is a definite gem, beautiful inside and out. She gave the MEETinDC and MEETinPhilly crew a warm welcome to Europe. She is one of the reasons that made our week memorable and why we would come back to visit in a heartbeat. London is first on the list of cities to visit on the next EuroTrip. Amsterdam’s loss is definitely London’s gain. Monica will do more wonders for MEETinLondon when she moves out there. Thank you, Monica, for making out trip special. London you are so lucky to have Monica! I met Monica in Amsterdam when MEETinDC and Philadelphia visited. Just to give an example of how nice she is, she walked everyone back to their hotels at 4am when she was obviously tired, then showed me a part of town that I didn't get a chance to see. Monica has to be one of the most kind, fun, intelligent people I have ever met. If I was fortunate to live in London, I would jump at the opportunity to sign up for ANY event she hosts or attends! You rock Monica!!!  <-( mIKEY says ;-)
