I didn't take any of the photos in this gallery, but, who cares? THE CLIPPERS WON THE GAME!!! So, eventually, I made it to Yankee Doodle's in Santa Monica, just in time for tip-off! Awww, they waited for me to start the game! Kevin, who had arrived first, saved us some good seats at the bar, facing the big projection screen, where Nancy and Hilary also joined us. Even despite the horrible waitress, we got ourselves some munchies and some bevvies (as Michelle would say), and settled down, as we watched the Clippers come out from the gate roaring, taking the lead, right from the start. I believe they had about a 10-point lead by the end of the first quarter, when Nancy had to leave. I can't remember if they had increased the lead to close to 20-points by the time Hilary had to go, at half-time. Needless to say, the Clippers never let up, and, in the last half of the game, kept the lead between 10 and 20 points (or more). Amazing! In the end, the Clippers won, 122-97. Topics of the night included such enlightening subjects as the aforementioned terrible service staff, the wonders of having the two teams with players with the worst hair in the NBA playing each other, how having a nerdy job does not make one a gamer, how "Elton Brand" is the answer for "who made the best playoff debut," how one must be careful about wearing new playoff shirts during a playoff game in case it might cause a jinx, and, my many hobbies, including my soon to be hobby, appropriate for a Clippers game, sailing! Thanks, all, for coming out, it was a very fun time!
