New Member Coffee and Cake @ Andre's Written By Elena 01/30/2006 I was adament about meeting on time and there I was, waltzing in to Andre's with Amanda and Jason, 8 minutes late. We were greeted by Kate, Ryan and Sara, La Tanya, Ahmad and Darrell (GREAT TO SEE YOU OUT!). The display of pastries was beautiful. Pure art. I wanted them all. We grabbed a large booth and squished in. We were further squished when Sarah came, as well as our guest, Kev Dawg from MiNew Orleans. Kev forgot about us and then made the crazy drive from LA to see us. You are awesome! We got a surprise from Anthony and Gerardo, who I don't think has been around since September. Nice to have you back. We had lunch, dessert, great conversation. I was sorta far from Sarah, Sara and Ryan, so I didn't get to really cozy up to them, but next time... I did manage to put them all on the spot (sorry, guys) and ask them the basic "where you from, what you doing here?" There was a drama (as there often is with Meetin) with our check. I had to get strict with the waitress (remember Papadeaux and the beverage situation?). Unfortunately, it was almost 4 PM and I had to run to make it to the furniture store, so I didn't get to see what happened with the check. Fill me in guys! Thanks to all the new members for coming - Sara, Ryan, Sarah, LaTanya, Gerardo. Oh, about Andre's... the lunch is great, the desserts are divine. Highly recommend! |

The event was lovely I enjoyed seeing everybody and Sara stepped up! I don't know exactly what she did but we didn't have to dine and dash. So the event was a success. |
