Event Hosted By David Link To Event Start slideshow Waimano Ridge Hike Written By David 06/21/2009 click for full size Waimano Ridge the 15 mile hike! Hoh, so wasn't sure what we were getting in to with this long hike. I'm proud to say though that everyone in attendance made it all the way up and all the way down. In summary, we started the hike around 8AM and finished the hike at about 4:00 PM. So about 8 hours in total! We also stayed together as a group and kept a farily good pace! In attendance, we had: David, Regina, Melissa, Jon, Mat, Rich, Catherine, Kayo, and Anders. Some such as Melissa, Jon, and Mat was one of their first major hike! Not to bad to do a 15 mile hike on the first try! Well besides the sheer distance, this hike was actually one of the easier hikes as we gradually climbed to the top. Most of the trail was covered with trees which also made a huge difference. Along the way, we found man made caves, rope obstacles, and scratchy bushes. (Make sure to wear long pants as there are abot 3-4 miles of bushes which eat away at your skin! Anyways, thanks for everyone who joined us. For a next long hike, maybe we should do the Maunawilli trail? More Photos
