New Members Dinner @ Gyotaku Written By Mark 02/23/2009 click for full size (Pictures by Chris & I) Attendees: Mark, Miri, Ed, Michael, Chris, Laura, Linda, Damon, Sonia, Lesley, Ann, Margaret, and Richard Thirteen of us showed up for this month's new members dinner as we welcomed some new faces to the group and got reacquainted with some inactive members just rejoining the group. Gyotaku doesn't offer the traditional Japanese ambiance of partitioned screened rooms but a more of a family dining experience. The first thing we noticed when we walked into the restaurant was the many fish prints they have framed on the walls. Little did I know "Gyotaku" is the name for fish prints. Everybody chose a variety of Japanese delicacies from Teishoku combinations to sashimi side dishes. After dinner we played a little Japanese food trivia game to test everybody's knowledge of Japanese cuisine. Linda proved to be the most knowledgeable winning the grand prize with Laura in second and Margaret in third. Thanks everybody for coming out for some good food and good conversation. More Photos

ed	yummy!!! I'm always up for sashimi...and the green tea ice cream wasn't bad either, just gotta add another 30 min of cardio this week hehe. Nice to meet you all and look forward to more "meetins"

Miri	Tasty It was nice to have our own section in the big party room. Thanks for arranging Mark! The food was delicious. I'm still working off that huge green tea shave ice ala mode. Yummmmmm... :P
