Event Hosted By Kina Jacquelyn Link To Event Start slideshow Camping in October Written By Kina 11/02/2008 click for full size We all heart camping. This time was no different. We started off in the late afternoon on Friday, getting all the different area’s set up. With campsite number 1 being our party location and 2, 3, & 4 being our tent homes. In our normal camping fashion the potluck started out the evening. We had a variety of great food. From garlic shrimp, somen salad, pizza, veggie wraps, and much more awesome food. Everything was pretty chill, people were getting to know one another and have some refreshments. Most of us were bundled up in a sweatshirt or jacket because it was windy. After some small discussion, we started our Friday night fire on the beach. We built the fire, moved our chairs, and the music to the beach. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves to the wee hours of the morning. Saturday morning, people got up with the sun. Breakfast was served, with coffee and people started making plans of what they were going to do. The volleyball net was set up, people got their boogie boards and off people went doing different things. An awesome lunch was served, were people could eat different types of sandwiches. After that more games were played, even tackle football. By the afternoon, we all started noticing that the man-o-war were out. A few people went in the water anyways and some of them did get stung. Some people even had the exciting time of pushing one car out of the sand, because what is camping without pushing one car out of the sand. Others choose to dig a huge whole in the sand. Dinner time, we sure do love to eat. Corn, hamburgers, hot dogs were just some of the items on the menu. By this time we had a nice crowd of people, we started our Saturday night fire, and did s’mores. We sang, danced, laughed, there were even tears (because of the laughing to hard) at the campfire that night. Great Times. Sunday morning, super early, we had some unfortunate event of some people having things taken. Thankfully it wasn’t anything of to much value, but it shocked all of us campers. Later Sunday morning people, were recounting what took place in the wee hours of the morning the really super funny things, and the not so nice things. Breakfast was a hodge podge of great items, using many of the remnants of the other meals. People started packing up, some people choose to stay for a bit in the morning, overall it was a pretty great camping trip. Much Mahalos goes out to the Zane and Chastity who were our meal team leaders with Jackie and I. Shea, thank you for bringing the wood. Mara thank you for bringing the volleyball net. Thank you for those who brought the portable stove top. Ginni, for being supportive. Janelle for bringing supplies and getting a permit, to Danielle for getting the other permit. And everyone who assisted in making this event what it was. Much Mahalos. I have to add a special acknowledgment to Chastity. If we could list a third co-host it would be Chastity. She supplied many things, woke up with Jackie to random text messages on thoughts about what we could do. Thank you sis for all your work. Till next camping trip. Jacquelyn	Crazy one This definitely was a memorable camping trip, and I now learned that I am not planning any camping trips with just me and Colin, I will stick with the big group. But I had a ton of fun, and actually enjoyed sleeping..haha..thanks to the inflatable bed.
