Wii League
Three or four bars in the Chinatown area are starting a Monday night Wii League. The plan is that on selected Mondays, each team will be assigned to compete at a different bar that evening. So far the first round of drinks will be "comped" to each team on the night they play. After all the eliminations a grand prize will be awarded. I don't think there is going to be an entry fee as these places are hurting for business on Mondays. I'll have more info as the plans are finalized - are you interested in forming an MiH team?

I heard that...
Its starting again on October 19 at 6:00 pm at Bar 35. Its baseball this time around. I don't think I'm going to be able to make it this Monday as I have to be in the office very early on Monday and Tuesday. If they ever send an email update this weekend I'll let you know more...

Prizes
I stayed until 10:40 last night - they still had two more games to finish and so I did'nt wait until the end - I'm sorry. I'll check with the promoter this week but I think all of the big prizes went to the #1 and #2 teams. All others who stayed to the end probably got the tshirts and skateboard cd...

Finals
I would like to thank everyone who came out last night - you all made a terrific effort! Although we placed third in the finals, overall I still think we came in second. That's awesone since a lot of folks who came out during the season played Wii for the first time.

common peeps..help support gary and the rest of the wii league at the playoffs this monday at bar35...we are off island but wish to be there..so unless anyone can find us some free roundtrip tix then we can only be there in spirit...still go and support the team who is currently in 2nd place

Bad news and Good news
Ok bad news first. The Liquor commission stepped in and said they cannot do the round of free drinks. Now for the good news: there will be happy hour specials and the organizers are working with a local airline - they want to provide the winning team with free round trip tickets to an outer island. I'll post more info as this develops....

Not sure yet...
but I'll let everyone know as I get more info on this. So far from what I have heard its going to be something competitive like the Wii sports features (bowling, pingpong, etc).
