One of the most talented and creative persons on earth I have ever met. Sometimes I am thinking how can she do this or do that well? She almost can do well in everything: cooking, biking, baking, camping, playing music, singing, running, jogging, playing volleyball, swimming…everything, you name it! I think it’s better to write what she doesn’t like to do or what she can’t do, but what are they? I couldn’t find the answer. For those who never meet her, try at least once to meet this beautiful charismatic girl. <-( Cindy says ;-)
I don't write a lot of testimonials. For my dear friend Amy, I'm writing a second. Amy has a spirit like no one I've met before: kind, compassionate, thoughtful, strong. She recognizes the good in others and seeks to make the world a better place, whether through raising three wonderful children, volunteering to help others or just being a source of respite for a friend in need. Amy always inspires me to be more loving, playful, strong and confident--she deserves 1,000 testimonials! <-( Jay says ;-)
Freedom to be yourself is the core to living a happy life and Amy does just that. She is one who works to live life. A person not caught up in the daily grind if you will. It’s hard to come across someone who is willing to face the adversity of change. Amy will not only embrace change, but also the thought of experiencing new places, people, and things. Being an ambassador in "The University of Cool Things to Know That Won't Help You In Your Career But Make For Good Quality Of Living", Amy has encompassed many new fun viewpoints and philosophies that will enhance your life. Advanced degrees in Ping Pong, Pie Making, Wine Tasting, Triathlons Training, Juggling, Swing Dancing, Donating to the Needy, Children's Literature, Whitewater rafting, International Traveling, and Whistling just to name a few. She is proficient at many games including Risk, Scrabble, Double Solitaire, Speed, Euchre, and Checkers. Her kids are amazing too! Dusty, Cammy, and Saylor are forces to recon with when it comes to having fun in the mountains. No matter what time of year it is they are sure to show you a good time. You will soon be an expert in advanced snowman building, tubing, sledding, and camping. What else can I say I’ve known Amy know for a little over a year. From Hyatt highrises to beach sunsets surprises, Amy is someone that you can always feel comfortable with in conversation. She is a great listener when it comes to sharing. You’re the best Amy I truly feel fortunate to have met you. <-( Marty says ;-)
Amy is a role model. She throws a great beach party and plans a variety of events from museums to ice skating. And she has the greatest gift of all, a compassionate heart. Whether it's sponsoring a charity event or ensuring that everyone feels welcome, Amy has the magic touch. <-( adam says ;-)
Sometimes when you're a bit down, it's good to write a testimonial for a friend. At least I think it's a good idea. Let me know if I'm wrong. I've actually written Amy dozens of testimonials. What's that? You haven't seen them? Well, apparently you haven't been reading the crazy stuff I write on the windows of my soul (personally I sometimes have a hard time with it myself - my handwriting isn't very good). So, Amy. I believe she really fits one of those favorite quotes of mine: "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds." Now Emerson said that. Not me. I just sometimes see it written on the windows of my soul (can make it hard to sleep unless the light's out). Here's a woman who seems as conventional as the day is long some times, and yet we can have long conversations (mostly in agreement) about organized religion and its dangers, traditional education and its dangers, blowing up people and it's dangers [um, no, I guess we never did quite discuss that - I think the dangers were understood - see we have a very deep relationship]. Of course there's all that other stuff about Amy - nice, great hostess, great mom, great goodness, great Caesar's ghost writer, great friend, great baker (with and without gluten), great miller abouter, great athlete [we have yet to face off on the basketball court, but I have a feeling I'll be sucking wind pretty quickly when we do]... Before I take up too much bandwidth, I will stop there. Perhaps one of those other testimonials will migrate off the window sometime and find its way here as well. If you're anxious to read it, just stop me at the next event and ask me to turn my eyelids inside out... Amy has the best parties. You always feel welcome at her home. <-( Dwight says ;-)
After watching day after day of Amy's event news postings throughout the holidays, you might think that this is a fun, smart, and giving person. Well, now that I've spent some time with her, I can tell you that it isn't the whole truth - because she's all of that and so much more - a very grounded individual who is compassionate and thoughtful. I'm so happy and proud that I can call her my friend. <-( John says ;-)
What an extraordinary individual. My first MID event was Amy’s and she made me feel so welcome and comfortable. She is has a very warm and has a friendly personality and shge's not bad looking :) Its these traits that makes her a great person to get to know. I am glad to have meant her and I enjoy chatting with her and look forward to attending many more of her festive and joyous event. Thank you Amy, you are a great contributor to the MID community. You are a great hostess. Amy hosted my first MID event - roller blading! It was really great to do something different and Amy was very lovely and welcoming. She clearly is a key part to the success of Denver MID with the number (and quality!) of events she hosts. I'm looking forward to getting to know her better! :-) <-( Cheri says ;-)
Amy is a wounderful gal and one of MID's BEST EVENT PLANNAR'S! She is easy to talk with, beatiful, smart, and very diverse and creative. She is a great mom and has balance in her life. I have been so impressed with her from the day I met her while attending my first MID event at "The Church Dance". And Amy always has a great smile on as well. Thanks so much Amy! CL <-( Jaime says ;-)
I can say that Amy is the one that brought me to MID and I can't thank her enough for that, great people here and it starts with her. I had a great time in Cozumel getting to know her while traveling to the next dive site, she always seems to have something interesting to say or the words of wisdom that you need to hear from her own experiences... Thank you for being a friend. <-( Mike says ;-)
Well, what can I say? Amy ROCKS! She has a great attitude, is fun, very personable and is a kick-ass swimmer/snorkeler! I had a great time hanging with her in Cozumel! <-( Lara says ;-)
Amy may very well be one of the nicest women I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She's a great hostess, a fantastic snorkeler (is that a word??) and an all-around great lady to hang out with. Spend some time with her! <-( C. Troy says ;-)
Think I've put this off long enough. I haven't had lots of time to spend with Amy but the times we have been in the same company I have grown fond of her extremely outgoing personality and pleasant demeanor. +, You can always tell a lot about a person by the relationships they have with their peers and their kids. I've had the oppurtunity to meet Sailor, Cami, and Dusty and their great personalities only reflect on who Amy is as a Mother and a Woman. Her ability to throw stellar parties and host such a wide variety of FUN events just shows what kind of adventurous spirit and gregarious nature she exudes. OK, enough with trying to sound intelligent. Amy, you kick ASS and I mimic Tony the Tiger's voice when I say "Your Grrrrreat!" and I'm proud to call you my friend! <-( Linda says ;-)
Amy was at one of my first, and several since, events. She made me feel very welcome and comfortable in a sea of people I had never met. She must have boundless energy. We are soooo fortunate to have her in MeetIn taking the reigns to lead so many wonderful activities. To add to the chorus, she's friendly, welcoming, warm, and I thoroughly enjoy her company! Clearly, Amy has touched the folks of MID in fundamental ways. I've known her for nearly 6 years and will add something a little different; Amy is a woman of character. No kidding, she just doesn't like talking smack on people, and would rather recuse herself than taking part in charades. She values her karmic role in life (my words, not hers) and for that I will always know that she is not only someone to be adored, but also trusted. She has a heart as big as Texas and an adventuresome spirit that is awe inspiring. She may be gorgeous, but at the heart of it all she's a humble midwestern lady without pretense. Amy, girlfriend, you are a rare and precious gem!!!! <-( Greg says ;-)
Amy is one of the most kind, good natured people I've ever met. She brings soo much to MID and everyone she meets. There are certain people I meet in life that have aspects about them that I embrace. With Amy it's her sense of adventure and willingness to seize the day. She can converse about a myriad of topics and remain an empathetic listener. That's hot : ) Amy is fun to look at (what a smile-- has anyone even seen a bad picture of her?) and even more fun to be around. I look forward to many more good times and great conversations. Oh, and she can be my Scrabble partner anytime. No Photo <-( says;-) When I went to my first event on my own and met Amy, we spent a good part of the night talking about my spilt milk (my sad life), what I found to be remarkable is that she truly cared. She is truly one of those rare people that cares more about the inner person and less about the outside looks. Needless to say she is one beautiful person on the outside but to me it's what she has on the inside that makes Amy, Amy. The warmth, the caring, and the sincerity she possess will always keep her a friend of mine. This is long overdue considering that I've known Amy longer than anyone here and I have to say that Amy is my dearest friend. Amy was there for me when times were the worst and I am glad that she is there for me now that times are great. Thank you Amy for being the best friend a guy could have. Thank you for being my personal vacation consultant, my relationship guru, my fitness parter, motivational speaker, spiritual guide, and best of all a best friend. Make a friend with Amy and you have a friend for life. <-( Laura says ;-)
I love AMY! Out of all the people I know, she's the one I'd most like to emulate! She's beautiful, sexy, independent, smart... shall I go on? Everyone is drawn to her dynamic personality. She's the bestest friend, whom I've known for 5 years, and always takes time out of her busy schedule to chat with me online. And she's the model mother as well. I love hanging out with her and getting together with our kids... More Testimonials >> |
