    Your Interests
Working out at the gym, skiing/boarding, hike, camp, backback (really anything outdoors). I haven't done these for a while but I'd also like to get back into tennis, golf, hockey, and triathlons. I also like to play games, anything from chess to scrabble. Do you know how to play Euchre? Many interests due to my Adult ADD :-P *** I play goalie, so if you know someone that plays ice hockey.. ask them if they need someone! I'm still trying to find some hockey buddies. ***
    Favorite Music
I like to mix it up, my mood dictates what I listen too. Classical, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Disco, Techno/Dance.... its all good!
    Favorite Books
Most of my reading is technical. But I do like Michael Crichton and Steven King and maybe an occasional non-fiction.
    Favorite TV Shows
I don't have cable.... but when I did the Daily show was my fav! Jon Stewart rocks! (now I catch his show on the web) As for regular tv shoes.....Law and Order, Heroes and 24 are the only ones I actually watch on a regular basis. I don't want to watch 24 since I am constantly arguing with my TV that like this just couldn't happen..... So why don't I have a problem with Heroes?
    Favorite Movies
Matrix, Shawshank Redemtion, The last Samurai, old spegetti westerns...... and movies of a darker nature like: snatch, 4 layer cake, boondock saints, employee of the month.... Movie's shouldn't always have a happy ending.

    About Me
I spend my entire day in front of a computer(working from home), so when the work day is done I want to get outside and play away from computers.... I am always up for about *updated 03/03* I have been a social leper of late so I am recommitting my self to getting out more, leaving my computer and couch a little less used. I am trying to get myself back into shape to do triathlons this summer so that will take a fair amount of time. But when I am not training I IM - davewallsathome(AOL) IM - walls_david(yahoo) IM - dave_walls@hotmail.com(MSN) If you IM me, please let me know who you are and that you got my IM name from meetin. Sure, it's not like he NEEDS another testimonial... but he deserves more than his share. He is amazingly generous, whether it's helping people move, providing a ride to some mountain adventure, or hosting an enormous barbecue in one of Denver's parks. Oh, the stories I could tell. For example, his last BBQ had between 150 and 200 people in attendance and lasted for over 12 hours. (In fact, it might still be going on if the cops hadn't sent everyone home at 1:30 in the morning... more than two hours after the park's closing hours). Or there's the soccer game that led to happy hour which rolled into an all-night party. At dawn, the survivors embarked on a road trip which culminated (I think) in a brewery tour. Dave does not believe in taking life at a slow pace. (Sometimes I don't know how he functions on so little sleep. I think he is battery-powered or something.) Dave does things in a big way. If you ask him to bring over a boardgame for a party, he'll probably show up with two crates of games. Oh, and watch out or he'll sucker ya into playing chess. Play sharp... he's looking for a challenge. The same goes for Euchre. As a Michigander, he has little tolerance for sub-par play. :) Given Dave's wide range of interests, it's not surprising that the activities we've done together have been all over the map... running, drinking, running AND drinking, playing volleyball, skiing, pub crawls, and helping host two dozen people for Thanksgiving. We've gotten into about as much trouble as you can without actually getting maced by the police in LoDo. When I bashed my knee on the ski slope, Dave was there, taking pictures on his camera phone while the doctor put sutures in the laceration. A friend like that is priceless. If you haven't run into Dave yet, you probably haven't been around MeetInDenver very long! Watch for another barbecue coming to a park near you.

I refuse to write Dave a testimonial. Really, Dave, don't you think this has gotten out of hand? You need help. Or fewer friends. Did you win Most Popular Boy at your elite prep school, wearing a Teacher's Aide button on your Izod and inviting folks to call you by your pet name ("SuperDave")? Yeesh!

    <-( CJ says ;-)
If you're looking for a good friend to relax and veg on the couch with... keep looking! I don't think Dave can sit still for that long. (He has been self-diagnosed with "adult ADD", after all.)

Another one of us MI transplants, Dave doesn't hesitate to take full advantage of living in the beautiful state of Colorado. Skiiing, boarding, hiking, climbing, v-ball, hockey... you name, he's out there doing it. No, really... like, right now; he's ditching work at this very moment to climb a fourteener or something. I promise.

Always interested in meeting new people, and drawing non-members into the crowd; Dave embodies the true spirit of MiD.

Dave has that sense of adventure that brings a lot of people to Colorado. Within a couple minutes of meeting him I realized I’d just increased the number of people I knew who are as interested in exploring the mountains in this State as myself. One of the first things we talked about was going backpacking during the winter; snowshoeing in. Instead of balking at the idea of the cold and snow Dave’s response was “When and where?” He’s an all-around good guy who will spend the whole day helping someone. Not to mention he’s a great person with whom you can sit and consume mass quantities of good beer.

    <-( Aubree says ;-)
Dave's a super nice guy who will do anything from grilling you some yummy chicken to leading you on your first Colorado hike to driving you to the mountains to spending a morning teaching you how to snowboard. Plus he's from Michigan, so that makes him even cooler.

Obviously, Dave is a real "ladies" man (look at his testimonials, lol)...he really knows how to turn on the charm. He is also a guy that will give you a ride to buy your first Jeep (but will probably be late, ha!)...no, but seriously, he is a guy with a huge heart that will go out on a limb for a friend!! He is a great person who I am happy I got to know!!!

    <-( Helena says ;-)
Not that Dave needs anymore testimonials but is the kind of guy who deserves one. From the first time you meet him, his kindness is obvious. A gentleman that puts a person to ease. Very happy to list him among friends.

    <-( Jaime says ;-)
Dave is one of the sweetest and kindest people I've met. The first time we met was at my home, where he showed up to help move stuff. His help was invaluable for my move and I can never thank him enough. In addition to being helpful though he is just a fun person with a huge heart. I honestly cannot say enough good about Dave.... meet him and you'll understand :)

    <-( Kate says ;-)
Consistantly, when Dave plans an event, people show up. Maybe this is because he goes above and beyond to make sure everyone enjoys him/herself. Well-rounded and interesting, Dave has a lot to offer--- plus he knows how to play euchre and enjoys tennis--- two characteristics that a friend of mine must have! :)

David Walls' "BBQ and volleyball @ Wash Park" was the first MiD event I ever attended. The first guy I met at that event was David Walls. The first guy added to "My Friends" list was David Walls.

Dave is a great guy with a great personality. Without Dave hosting that BBQ event, I wouldn't have been such an active MiD member. And without Dave warm welcome, I wouldn't have felt comfortable being around new people.

If anybody manage to go to an event in which Dave will be attending, do find him and talk to the guy. Within seconds, you'll understand why I added him into "My Friends" list first.

Cool guy. Need I say more?

    <-( Lisa Bowman says ;-)
Dave has hosted some of the best events it has been my pleasure to attend. He is very nice, open and funny. I'm so happy that I met him at New Member's Night back in August.

    <-( Jessica says ;-)
Its been really fun getting to know Dave. We met at the New Members Night, and within an hour, he was all over the place meeting people! I had a blast at the BBQ on Thursday, thanks for organizing a great event and bringing all that great food!
