The men looked smashing in their suits, and the ladies gorgeous in their gowns :) Man, what a night! 50 people attended our 3rd Annual MID Donation Holiday Party at the Purple Martini downtown on Saturday night, and we raised bucketfuls of money for MID and Meetin! Thank you for your generosity (some were just straight donations even if they didn't attend) and for dressing up to get down and help out Meetin.org! After outstanding party costs were recouped, we ended up raising $500 for MID's use in 2007 (such as for COMA prizes and to help out on 4th Anniversary party costs), and $1,018 for Meetin.org in general (to support Server and Website upkeep costs). Great job! But even aside from that, the party was a blast, I hope you enjoy your white elephant gift (especially the ones who walked away with the Life-size Portrait, the Little Ceramic Ram, The Kama Sutra Book, and the trademarked "Cheap Wineglasses", LOL). The Reindeer ears were a special gag that ended up becoming the life of the party, and if you stuck around through till the end of the night when the place got packed, the Front Porch was the place to be! I had a throughly good time, and would have stressed a lot more if not for my wonderful helpers (Amy C., Sujeeva, Kendell, Trish, Elizabeth, Jessica, and Michaela, thank you!) There are a lot of great individual pictures taken by Elizabeth that you can pull down from the web and upload as your newest profile pic! (Right-click to "View Image", tip: you may have to go back and forth between pix a couple of times to get the right one, a strange thing with Kodak gallery; then Right-click to "Save Image"). There were at least 2 more cameras in use that night, so if you were a photographer, send me the link to your online photos, and I'll add it to this posting. Michaela	oops I have to claim responsibility for some of the camera work from both cameras... I've never claimed to be a photographer, well at least not a good one!! :) I would like to know where the reindeer headband ended up, though!!!
