Event Details IN THIS MOMENT with Special Guests Wednesday, Nov 11, 2009 7:30 PM MST at Marquis Theater in Denver, CO $12.00 – General Admission It’s time to turn the volume WAY Up and Rock out to the “Beautiful Tragedy” that ‘is’ IN THIS MOMENT. Although not quite WITHIN TEMPTATION this band will suffice that void for now. Those who can remember Herman’s Hideaway, don’t forget to bring along a pair of ear plugs (just in case). Rumor has it that the Marquis serves Pizza or we could all plan to meet up at one of the many restaurants nearby before the show. In This Moment is a young band out of North Hollywood, California. They play a style of metalcore that is based more around thrash metal than melodic death metal. They can set themselves out of the monotony of most metalcore becuase of thier use of interludes and better placed breakdowns, as well as frontwoman Maria Brinks superb vocals. With their debut album A Beautiful Tragedy on Century Media, and their consistent work ethic, they are poised for success. In This Moment’s musical influences are very apparent as you can hear shades of Iron Maiden, Slayer, and even some Zeppelin. Maria is more talented than you can imagine with a voice that goes from angelic to gutteral in the blink of an eye. Howorth & Bunzel blaze through dueling solos and harmonies, Jesse rides strong basslines throughout (especially on "Circles"), and Jeff the drummer shreds EVERYTHING...You could set Big Ben to his timing. This is a stunning, stunning band.
