Welcome to MUSICinDC! This is the place to talk about upcoming concerts, the area’s best venues, new music, and concert reviews.
DC is home to many great venues: from Wolf Trap to the Birchmere, the 930 Club to the Black Cat, Iota to Jammin’ Java, Merriweather to Nissan pavilions, Blues Alley to HR57, Zigs to the Grog & Tankard, the Kennedy Center to Constitution Hall.
DC is filled with vibrant and diverse music so open your mind and your ears and come explore! Swing it, sing it, shake it, and rock on!
About Dana
Dana has always been interested in music of all kinds. She came to the DC area in 1991 to attend the University of Maryland where she played flute in the marching and pep bands. She is an avid concert-goer around DC (and has been known to road-trip to shows on occasion). She has coordinated a weekly summer concert series for Reston Town Center every year since 1996. Dana now runs the MUSICinDC sub-group.
