WayneMan is that guy who lights up the room. He's that dude you want to hang with cuz he is so cool and because everybody likes him and what is there not to like. Smart, funny, generous and sure to put a smile on your face. Wayne is DA MAN!!!!  <-( Michele says ;-)
I briefly met Wayne in Philly but spent much more time with him in New Orleans. All I have to say is he is the master. He knows something about everything. Knows his way around New Orleans and Mardi Gras like it's his home town. He knows how to have fun, is a very patient man and kept me out of trouble. Thank you so much for making Mardi Gras so memorable for the rest of us.  <-( Lee says ;-)
WayneMan is definitely an ORIGINAL. I had seen his face all over the place…and finally had the chance to meet the man, the myth, the legend himself in New Orleans. His energy and enthusiasm are infectious and you can’t help but have fun when you are with him. I had the pleasure of meeting WayneMan in NOLA and now I see why he has so many testimonials. Wayne is very friendly, very fun and outgoing. Wayne is way kewl and such a sweetheart! He was gracious enough to let me co-host with him on this month's mingler and I have a fabulous time! WayneMan is so sweet and fun. You should definitely make it part of your agenda to meet him (and one of his culinary creations). You won't be sorry. He loves to have fun and you'll spend lots of time laughing (at least I do). If WayneMan is at an event you can't miss him. And if somehow you do, don't worry, he will find you. No one is a stranger to WayneMan. I love that about him. He always makes sure everyone is taken care of and will go out of his way for the oddball (usually me) to feel right at home.  <-( Han says ;-)
WayneMan. I met WanyeMan at an event for MEETin newbies. He is a totally awesome guy! He's friendly to EVERYONE and leaves NO ONE feeling left out. Ten seconds after chatting with him, you'll have a smile on your face. I guarantee it. I have only met Wayne Man twice (unfortunately) but I have come to know that he makes everyone he meets feel like they have known him forever. He seems to always be the life of the party. Super friendly, welcoming, and high energy and seems to always be doing something crazy. Oh and he is a great dance partner lol. He is the type of person you join meetin to meet. So I guess I'll throw another testimonial on the Wayneman pile. What I love about Wayne is that he loves everything! He is enthusiastic about life. Now I should warn that this is usually not something that cynical people like me love, but somehow Wayne manages to draw you in to that positivity. Great, great guy. I finally got to meet the Man, WayneMan! I knew I had to meet this guy when I first heard about WayneMANIA and his MEETin city tours around the country and the fun times he had hanging with all the MEETin peeps. Then I heard about all his MEETin cooking events in DC and his passion for food and cooking, then I absolutely knew I had to meet the WayneMan! WayneMan greeted us all with a big hug and a big smile, like he's known us all for years. He brings a positive energy to the room that is infectious, he's an awesome cook and sings a mean karaoke! ;) Come back to the SF Bay Area anytime WayneMan! I've been to Wayn's house three times now. Each time I have new discoveries: 1st discovery: He is into cooking. He has those equipments that you only see in a commercial kitchen. He has two referigerators and most of his first floor is used for extended kitchen and dining(I was told this was pre-meetin arrangement). He is very fast and determined in the kitchen and he made me nervous as an assistant. 2nd discovery: He sees the bright side of everything. No matter what you say, he can always respond with sth positive to neutralize it. While most people think of hosting cooking events as somewhat burdensome, he looks at it as "I don't need to cook, I don't need to clean and I get to eat delicious food". 3rd discovery: He is warm, kind, full of positive energy and has this magic of making people feel at home in his house.  <-( Paul says ;-)
Wayne possesses a razor-sharp brain, an industrial-strength liver, and a huge heart. For me and so many others, the dinners he's hosted in his home have been some of the happiest nights on earth. He's made me laugh so hard I actually pulled a muscle. He's also shaken up my life and reassembled it in a better order. Starting with the evening I met him—"I can tell you're new, because you aren't mingling!"—he's prodded me to do good things I never would've done without him. I'm definitely not alone in this. MiDC will be devastated to lose him. But even if we can't see him every day, we know that here and in his new home, he'll go on making people better and happier.  <-( Kamal says ;-)
