MiPL is lucky to have someone like Joanne in the mix of things. I knew of Joanne from "behind-the-MeetIN-scene" through the admin lounge and felt she was very organized and a superior planner who is very eloquent in writing and speaking. Bottom line...she's a born leader. I finally got to meet her at the PDX090 Celebration and saw her in action...which is a total treat! I bow down to you Joanne! :)  <-( Vicki says ;-)
Joanne is a trustworthy and sensible gal -- always helpful and available -- good traits for someone who could be in charge of just about anything. She gets the big picture and leads the way to "do the right thing." She is always smiling and fun to talk to, and she makes the BEST Mardi Gras shots!  <-( Bronwyn says ;-)
Joanne did a superior job of planning the meetin cruise. She continues to support meetin in so many wonderful ways. I was so excited and thrilled that she is taking up the task of organizing another great cruise for 2009. I'm really happy about it. Three cheers for Joanne!  <-( Doug says ;-)
This one is long overdue. Joanne is about the only hairstylist/barber who can deal with a drunk guy bobbling his head around while she cuts his hair (don't ask how I know that). Joanne is happy to be helpful, happy to make sure everyone else is having fun, and happy to make sure that every event she attends reaches its full potential. Maybe that is why Joanne is so happy all the time!  <-( James says ;-)
How many of us owe a debt to Joanne? I do. Joanne made the Men of MiPL calendar possible. I rallied the models and photographers, but Joanne taught me about layout and how to get them to press, quickly. Whether it comes to the calendar, dedication to bicycling, or the anniversary party, Joanne is one of my heroes!  <-( Molly says ;-)
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Joanne this past weekend in Austin. She has a wonderful personality and it is easy to see why she is a leader in Portland. Joanne was a complete joy to hang out with and I hope she'll come visit Austin again!!  <-( Ben says ;-)
In place of Dark Lord Cassy, we set up a queen. Beautiful and terrible as the Morning and the Night! All must love her and despair! Is that clear? Love Joanne or I'll come shout LOTR passages on your sidewalk!  <-( Mark says ;-)
All I got to say is don't get between Joanne and Charburger when you are out hiking.  <-( Evelyn says ;-)
Joanne is the wise one, the funny one, the interesting one, the life of the party one, the how does this work one, and you are the lucky one if you get to chat with her. One of the first people I met through MiPL, I was hooked and MiPL was in trouble, but Joanne still welcomes me each time with warmth, a hug, and a smile, I know she is just humoring me but hey, I'll take it from this wonderful person!  <-( Christine says ;-)
Joanne is yet another person that I am thankful to call a friend! Her smiles, hugs, laughter, and all out ability to make any setting fun, make her priceless! She’s always ready to lend a hand, grab the mic, or jump into any event she attends! Her energy is downright contagious and will have you ice skating, singing, or mingling for hours on end. MiPL is lucky to have Joanne and I am blessed to consider her a friend!  <-( tiffy says ;-)
Joanne to me is The Karaoke Queen. She rocks the mic like no other and is always willing to get-her-karaoke-on, even at the last minute. But like any Queen, there is more to her than just one skill alone. She can organize even the most chaotic of situations instantly. She is able to meet difficult situations head-on and with a big smile. However, there is so much more to Joanne than just these great business skills. Joanne has a warmth and kindness that just invites you in. She is always willing to share a laugh and enjoy a humorous situation. Even when she is busy, stressed or sick, Joanne's true fun-loving nature shines through and makes any opportunity I have to spend time with this near and dear friend fun and enjoyable. You put all these things together and you have a true Queen... without the crown and inbreeding.  <-( Kaylen says ;-)
I really enjoy being around Joanne--her positive energy and enthusiasm is contagious, she's just a fun person to be around. She's smart and funny and I like hanging out with people like me (ha!). Seriously, when I see her name on an rsvp list, I know I will have a friendly face to migrate towards when I arrive.  <-( Bon Vivant says ;-)
I've enjoyed the hikes with Joanne immensely and it's very difficult for me to believe she ever endorsed the Scottish Persecution. If fact, I refuse to believe it until there's more evidence presented! BTW Stu, this is not a paid testimonial.  <-( Edwin says ;-)

Joanne and Edwin are truly the nicest MiPL couple I've met to date! Their sense of humor is spot on, and together they've kept me laughing through the Bollywood movie nights, minglers and holiday parties, and inspired me to see and do more in Portland than I ever thought was possible! If you ever get the chance to meet them (and you will!) definitely say, "hi." Pennsylvania's loss, but Oregon's gain!  <-( Brian says ;-)
It seems everyone I meet in MiPL not only knows Joanne but they love her! And I'm now putting myself in that category because she is hilarious and super sweet. I first met Joanne on the Scavenger Hunt and had a great time with her. But since then I have had the opportunity to interact with her on several events and she always has me laughing and smiling. Who doesn't want friends who can do that for you!?!?! And if her smile and wit don't get you her accent will!  <-( Herry & Amy says ;-)
