About Me
I live in Old Town, Alexandria and have been a member of the group for four years. I typically spend my free time outdoors, be it hiking, peak-bagging, running, kayaking, cycling, sailing, etc. I like to think I have lived an enriched life, having done things like live overseas, receive classical music training, follow the Grateful Dead around the country, grow up in a religious household, and meet an array of brilliant and equally fascinating people. Nonetheless I am still eager to add to these experiences by meeting new people and doing new things... |
Why I joined
To escape the closed-minded cliques paradoxically associated with this fine, culturally-enriched city. To share my wealth of knowledge of the city/life with open-minded individuals. To meet other people and learn about the essences of their being.

My Best MEETin event story ( please only fill in after you have been to an event )
I spent the 4th of July in 2004 with some members of MEETinPortland. It was exciting to be 3000 miles away from home yet perfectly comfortable watching fireworks with new acquaintances. I also hosted a tailgate at the Virginia Gold Cup. It was great to introduce so many people to the fine sport of horse racing...all while making new friends.
